We stayed for a week to celebrate my 30th birthday. The hotel is in a fab location in Nob Hill, just across the road from Dragon's gate, the entrance to Chinatown. The rooms are small but nicely decorated with a comfy bed. The reception area is great, with retro films playing, iced water on tap and very friendly staff. There...

Hi eddlestoner ~ Thanks for the great review. We hope you had a great 30th birthday! I say we become your home away from home for every birthday from here on out. I'm sorry to hear about the bottle rockets. There is a pretty popular Irish Pub just behind the hotel which can be a plus or minus for some....

As with other reviewers a/c blasting in your ear not conducive to a good nights sleep. No coffee making facilities, not covered by free warm coffee from lobby ( hassle) the design is different some great touches but as rooms so small and dark we found colours giving oppressive feel, glad we only stayed one night. Free wifi and great...

Hello mairi_ok ~ Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm sorry to hear that it wasn't all that you had hoped for. We do actually provide in-room coffee although we would much rather you come hang out with us and other guests in the lobby. We understand that not for everyone so don't hesitate to ask next time, we'll...

We spent two nights at Hotel Triton over the Memorial Day weekend. The hotel is located only a few blocks from the Montgomery BART station. Check in was a breeze. We made it just in time for the wine hour so it was a nice treat. I am an In Touch member so I was able to get $10 to...

Hi jessc2078 ~ Thanks for sharing your experience with our friends on Trip Advisor. I'm happy to hear that you had a great time. We truly appreciate your kind words about the room size and the quiet interior rooms. You're totally right about the views but once you head out, the city makes up for that immediately! Come back soon....

This is always my go-to hotel of choice when visiting San Francisco. The location is beyond perfect being wedged between the gate to Chinatown and Union Square. It is only a six block walk from the BART station by Macy's making economic sense for those traveling from SFO to downtown San Fran. Only a couple of blocks to walk to...

The hotel was booked for me by my company - it is not the marriott! That said it was clean, the staff friendly. It was also quite an experience to wear a leopard skin print robe downstairs to get my early morning tea. And great tea it was too. And I do not say this lightly as a Brit in...

Stayed at the Triton for 2 days as part of a quick SF getaway. Have stayed in multiple hotels in SF in the past and this one is definitely unique. Location is just outside the Chinatown gates and the BigBus makes a stop right in front, very convenient. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. The lobby coffee and afternoon wine...

My husband and I needed a quick night getaway from family festivities so we at last minute booked here. The staff was wonderful and we walked into our room to strawberries and champagne. The hotel is unique and kitchy in a perfect location. They even have leopard print robes!

First the good: good location, right by the Chinatown gate. Very nice staff. Clean and quiet. The issue is the physical plant. The rooms are small the place is old and tired. Decor is awful and rugs stained. Kimpton group has and will be our go to hotel chain, but it won't be the Triton again. The Francis Drake is...
