A gem in the heart of the city, 2 blocks from Union Square & the transportation to everywhere. Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, & wonderful staff. Best value in the city, hands down. Got TWO rooms for my family of 5 (2 double beds per room) for less than the price of one room anywhere else. A double bed fits 2...

This boutique, vintage hotel location allows an short walk to Union Square, Chinatown, diverse restaurants, shopping options, transit, etc. We stayed 4 nights in a clean spacious room located in an alcove off the main hallway, with our friends room directly across. The price was excellent, especially when compared to others in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful,...

Nicely put vintage hotel, well located and overall satisfying. Cleanliness and maintenance could benefit from some supervision. The front desk staff is generally friendly, but some of their receptionist would need some training to be more welcoming. Maintenance staff are very efficient once you call them.

Have stayed here several times, this time was only for one night. The room was very dusty ( the coffee maker was totally covered with dust and full of water from who knows when) and the noise from a fan outside in the centre of the hotel was not great. If we were there for longer this would have been...

Keep in mind this is an older style hotel. San Francisco was the last place we stayed in the US, we had stayed at hotels much cheaper than Executive and they were much more modern so naturally after arriving off a 6 hr flight and 2 hr shuttle drive (only due to lots of stops) I was a bit disappointed...

It's in a great location within easy walking distance to retail, lots of eating and drinking choices, easy transport links and more importantly it's clean and comfortable. All the...

The hotel is nice, with comfortable rooms and beds, only 2 blocks away from main shopping area and old tram final station. A lot of diverse restaurants also available around the hotel. Personnel is very helpful and kind, especially Vincent in front desk. If you don't want to pay too much but be near Union Square, this is a very...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
