This hotel was perfectly adequate for the price I paid in expensive San Francisco. I had to make a last minute trip for an appointment at the French consulate an this hotel was priced right (139 dollars a night on Priceline) and nearby where I needed to go. It is located in the area where Nob Hill meets the Tenderloin...

Really lovely hotel with great room and really nice modern bathroom with large walk in shower. Room was great, with TV and iPod/radio alarm. Nicely decorated and something a bit different. Location is just a short walk from Union Square and the trams, buses and BART (subway). Would definatly stay here again.

My sister and i stayed for one night (26th) at the Vertigo, and were sad that we had planned to leave SF so early. Beautiful lobby and halls, elevator is clean and fine if a bit slow (old building-- no big deal, no surprise), good wifi, room was gorgeous- we were in 701 with a great view. Our biggest impression...

Sometimes you look at the map and your heart sinks because you wonder if your hotel is a little out of the action. The truth is, the Vertigo does look like that on a map, but SF is small enough that you can walk to the action but sleep in the city but without the noise. We even had the...

Having decided to visit San Francisco, I started to realise how expensive and difficult it is to find a nice, affordable, convenient hotel. I think this was the closest I could find. I was very satisfied with the location being just a few blocks from Union Square, where there are many shops and a tourist office. It is also just...

As an Alfred Hitchcock fan, it was pretty fun to stay in Hotel Vertigo. The lobby loops the movie, Vertigo, on flat screens and posters from the film are found throughout the building. The rooms have seemingly brand new furniture and the bathrooms are very nice -- cool, chic, modern vibe to the whole place. The staff was very helpful...

The best way to sum up my stay at Hotel Vertigo, is I have stayed at hostels in Europe that were much nicer with more amenities, but half the price. To charge $200.00 per night for a room with no air conditioning is outrageous. It does not state anywhere on the website that all the rooms come equipped only with...

Overall for the price this hotel is acceptable. It's clean, affordable and everyone was really nice and helpful and cheerful. The hotel is unique, unlike any other I have stayed in. IT is an older building. The location is pretty good. If you plan on walking down to Market Street on Polk be aware that it is not the best...

The hotel staff was very friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and had a great big bed :) The hotel was only a short walk from Westfield shopping mall as well as other popular shops. We hadnt worked out where to get the trams from and which one to get when going to get the boat over to Alcatraz so...
