Take a step back in time with this amazing hotel. It's fancy flare is definitely a juxtaposition to the quant surroundings. The ballroom and terrace make for the perfect locations for parties and events while the rooms are upscale and nicely furnished. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The entire area is very hospitable.

This hotel is awesome. I had tried to stay at another "chain" hotel in the area and could not get a government rate as my trip was business related. However, the General Morgan Inn was more than happy to honor the government rate and boy am I glad they did. This is a awesome older hotel, some of the friendliest...

I travel quite frequently, some nationally, but mostly in the Southeast region. I am blessed to be able to stay in some of the nicer facilities in those areas. Relatively speaking, especially when considering price point, I would consider the General Morgan Inn an exceptional value. Folks, this place is nice, four star by any standard and quite possibly five...

Nicest people ever!! Restaurant was also very good, but closes at 9. Good WiFi and the HVAC fan will actually blow constantly when set to "on". Really helped me sleep soundly. Great fireplace in lobby. Coffee shop in hotel.

So this is an older hotel with small rooms, creaky floors and slow elevators. But it is very clean, the folks running the place are as nice as they can be and the beds are quite comfortable. I love the older style furniture and the room setup. I was here by myself on business so the room size was not...

The hotel lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Check in was seamless. Our room was absolutely lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel rooftop party was amazing. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Loved staying at this historic in in Greeneville, TN. We were there to visit the Andrew Johnson National Historic sites, and this was easy walking distance. It is also where the tour of the Dickson-Williams Mansion (across the parking lot) begins. The inn's large main room was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the staff was very nice and helpful. We...

The room was great except the windows let cool air in. Every thing at this place had been updated except the big windows. I nearly froze to death so I got the extra blankets out and they helped. I have never slept in a nosier area. I don't know what was going on outside (sounded like excavation but didn't see...

We had our wedding reception at the GMI last Friday evening. They did an excellent job. Superb service and food. Many of the guests stayed at the inn and were very pleased with their rooms. Of course, being locals, we frequently enjoy their dinners and their Sunday brunches. My Father comes every year for their fabulous Mother's Day Brunch, a...
