Great location right across from ferry. Clean rooms. We stayed in 13A and it was very spacious with its own private balcony. Hot weekend but window AC unit cooled room perfectly fine. Friendly front desk. Large ice machine by office perfect for filling cooler before trip to island. Would definitely stay here again.
Harbor's Edge location has the ultimate location, but at a reasonable price. They have a “new section” and the original motel. We stayed in the original motel. As others have noted, the décor in our unit was a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable and has tons of the original charm. From the porch we could watch the ferry activity and just enjoy people watching. While COVID did put a dent in plans, Bayfield and the surrounding areas seem to shut down on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, after Labor day many places close for the season, so between COVID, Normal season and operation closures, places to eat /drink are limited, so plan ahead. Thankfully, there is a liquor store and general grocery store within blocks of the Motel. If you are creative with a microwave, good meals in the comfort of your room are possible. Overall, location.. location .. location...…
I went back to this hotel this year because I enjoyed it so much last year. The location is perfect as it's right across from Lake Superior. I enjoyed sitting outside my balcony in the morning with my coffee watching the sun rise. There are sitting areas outside on the lawn with comfortable chairs to relax and people watch. All the staff that I've dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but charming and clean. The only thing I missed was having my own small refrigerator and microwave. Some rooms have them though. There is an area that is open 24/7 that has a microwave and ice machine.
Decent motel right in front of the bay but expensive. It's old but mostly well maintained. Everything is close and walk-able distance. Parking spots are tight fit. Shower is small is water pressure is not good. Rooms are are large enough
We just stayed for one night at this conveniently located motel, but it is by far the cleanest lodging establishment I have ever stayed in. Smoking and pets are not allowed so our room smelled fresh. Everything was immaculate. Highly recommend this motel!
