This is a splurge place and worth it. Our Room (#9) was as nice a B&B room as I have ever seen. Actually, this is more of a small luxury hotel than B&B. I especially admired the attention to detail. All of the lighting was of or reminiscent of the period. Colors were bright and cheerful, yet Victorian. Incredible stain...

We traveled to Bayfield on a whim. No reservations, no plans. Walked into several hotels in the downtown area. Very pricey, not very nice. Decided to try the beautiful bed and breakfast on the hill overlooking the town. So glad we did. The manager was charming, kind and helpful. He happily showed us the room and talked about the area....

We stayed one night at Old Rittenhouse Inn. We had a lovely room with a whirlpool, which we used. We noticed right a way there was no TV. Great! it was a nice quiet evening reading and just being together. Great way to unwind after a long drive. Bed was comfortable, room large, but unfortunately we were on the first...

We just returned from a visit to The Old Rittenhouse Inn in Bayfield. Three couples enjoyed the Inn. Two couples stayed in the cottage and one couple in the chateau. The cottage was roomy and in a great location. The back room wasn't quite as nice as the front room, but the shared living space was quaint. The upstairs room,...

We spend two nights at the Inn in room 11 for our 15 year anniversary. The staff was very helpful and kind. I called last minute to add some flowers and champagne to the room and they took care of it perfectly. The breakfasts were also very good. The steel cut oats were a great start to our day of...

The property is beautiful, the suites are huge and well appointed. The service is impeccable. They literally have the best food in town, and Bayfield is a beautiful little town adjacent to a breathtaking national park. Easily Wisconsin's best kept secret and well worth the trip and the expense.

Beyond our expectations for food, comfort and location! We stayed in the South Room and had use of the entire first floor for visiting. Great view of the Lake and Bayfield. I would stay there any season.

On our trip to Bayfield, WI we spent one night at the Old Rittenhouse Inn. We stayed on the second floor of the main inn, room 6. There was not a view of the lake from our room, but it did not bother me at all. The room was clean, quiet, and decorated in the Victorian style. I wished that...

This was a very relaxing place to enjoy a delicious dinner. You can do a two course entree for $39 or a 5 course for $59.00.....I was glad I did the two course.....I had the Pork loin and it was filling. You can order anything off the menu ala carte. Very nice waitstaff.
