This motel could use fixing up but .... the calling card on it is that John Wayne used it while filming westerns back in the day. In the breakfast room/lobby, John Wayne stands tall and there are photos of numerous other film stars. No 'big-bottom' towels but room was satisfactory. Breakfast buffet could stand the addition of hot items and/or...

My husband and I booked two nights here in our road trip to visit the National parks. I only booked this hotel because of the price and I regretted it immediately. It is an old hotel, so the fixtures are very outdated and my room smelled pretty musty, but the worst part was the cleanliness. Upon entering the room my...

When we were planning our road trip to Utah, we included two days in Moab. Finding an affordable motel in Moab proved to be a real challenge (most were in the $125.00 and up range). Unfortunately the reviews for this motel were not a good representation of the quality, though the cost appeared to be reasonable. Our first impression was...

We rented in this hotel because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. I expected a nice clean room with a refrigerator and microwave plus breakfast for a reasonable price. I got exactly that. My husband and I really recommend the pancakes for breakfast. Realize you will be eating in your room, which was perfectly okay with us. We were about...

Couldn't believe it. Probably the worst place I've ever stayed at. Filthy. The pool was one step above being an open septic tank. This place garnered a reputation in the 50's when a lot of western-style movies were being made in the area, attracting movie stars and film crews. The place is in bad shape today. Best to spend your...

This hotel is so old and unkept. The carpet (from the 70s-80s era) had a big tear in it. We had to clean the pool which was full of leaves in order to use it, and had to wipe down the chairs before we could sit in them, they were covered in the dust that blows there. Breakfast was pancakes...

Overall, I had a good experience staying at the Apache. There are newer hotels to select from, but none come close to the price of the Apache. The rooms were clean and beds were in decent shape. As noted in other reviews, a breakfast is served every morning (pancakes, cereal, and danish), which made it an even better value.

The Apache is a Motel on the registry of historic places. The rooms reflect that fact. They are not modern in any way. If you can take that much, then look at the price and the service. The beds are in good shape, the pool is clean and well maintained, there is a Continental Breakfast available in the morning included...

Nice clean motel... Noisier traffic then I would have liked and someone hitting the rail made for an interesting evening but I would stay there again. Very nice and helpful staff! :) Rooms are clean and confortable.

On a driving trip that took us through Moab we stayed one night at the Apache Motel. In planning the trip Moab was the best place for us to stop. All that was needed was a clean place, with good beds and a good shower. The Apache provides all that at a very reasonable price. The chain hotels and lodges...
