My wife and I took our daughter and three grandkids age 6,8,10.
Although a bit hard to get to the setting is well worth the effort. A 50 year plus family run ranch is where you can be with kids or not worry about them....More
This was our 3rd visit to Waunita Hot Springs. Our first visit was in 89, we took our twin sons (age 12). We returned 4 years later in 93. Then life got busy with college, marriages, and grandkids. One of our sons decided to take...More
Just finished my eighth week at Waunita Hot Springs Dude Ranch. Since 2009, my wife and I have been bringing children and grandchildren to this home away from home in western Colorado. The ranch is about 20 miles from the nearest town and includes a...More
I enjoyed my stay and it was just what I needed. I had wondered about this place, spurred by driving by the highway sign about twenty times over the last six months, moving East to West on highway 50.

Thanks for the question. There is no doubt we are first a foremost a guest ranch. In fact, the springs are only available during the off season (non summer) months when the ranch activities are not in operation. The pool is 90 x 35 and kept around 100* with the 8 person hot tub around 105*. The water flows by gravity from the main spring which is 175* ! The hot springs "traditionalist" may be disappointed with no natural, in the creek, soaking pools. However, I have had many hot springs enthusiast tell me it is one of their favorites for size, depth of water and temperature. Hope that helps, you can see pictures of the pool at our website.

"Main ranch house or adjacent building. Within 100 feet of each other and are both great rooms."
