Great old department store turned into a hotel. Wonderful location, and one of the best front desk experiences. Huuuuuge room, and fabulous location in Asheville. Would return again, and again. Oh, loved the old elevator and department store displays on each floor. Unique!

Why would they be in the basement? Too my knowledge, I've never seen a hotel with rooms in a basement. All floors were above ground that I'm aware of. The room we had was huge and you can pick either queen size beds or king size beds. You can Google the size of each bed to determine if they're large enough for your human.
