The atmosphere at the Grand Bohemian was great with tasteful decor, generous accoutrements and generally awesome and helpful staff. We loved our check in process including the complimentary champagne and charming and helpful front desk staff. The room cleaning/turnover staff was likewise amazing and did all those little extra touches like folding your clothes and arranging your bathroom kit beautifully on a little cloth pad. Special massive shout out to Jack and Josh on the Valet Team and the valet team in general. With their super helpfulness, great conversation and real hop-to-it energy Jack and Josh more than made up for the few challenging experiences we had at the Red Stag restaurant staff. The restaurant food was great but we struggled with the attentiveness of the staff, even with a pretty much empty restaurant. A really amazing feature of the Grand Bohemian is actually the House Car that the Valet Staff will drive for you on short little runs if needed. We only used it once but it was super pleasurable and Jack was an excellent conversationalist.
For constructive feedback to the restaurant - when patrons come in, if the place isn’t busy and there isn’t a line at all, try and get them seated within 15 min or if they sit at the bar, give them a menu in the first 10 minutes when you’re standing right there.
Overall a 5 out of 5 rating for our stay/experience thanks to one team helping carry another as often can happen at any company/establishment.

Room- We stay at the manor across the street. The bed was very comfortable and the coffee was delicious. The bath was relaxing especially with the bubbles. The shower has great water pressure too! Room service- was quick and nice! The breakfast and dinner was delicious. Housekeeping- very thorough and replaced everything daily like towels and coffee. They even organized the countertop for us! They did a great job!! Value- we stayed 6 nights and went out frequently. Each time we requested our car it was quick. They even offered us water. Dorian & Joshua did a great job. Overall- the hotel was near everything we wanted to do. The military discount that was offered was awesome and really helped us.

This hotel was amazing. It is beautiful inside, very cozy with the darker woods, stone, and low lamps all around, and then a huge stone fireplace with comfy seating all around. The staff were all so nice and friendly. The restaurant was great and we enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast. The bathroom is the best part with a giant soaking tub, big vanity, and separate toilet and shower stalls. The amenities in the bathroom were great. Will definitely return if in the area.

We spent three nights at the Grand Bohemian in Asheville and had a very pleasant stay. We stayed in the main building. The decor is eclectic with all of the art and taxidermy throughout. They don't call the restaurant the Red Stag Grill for no reason.....Everyone from the car valet, the front "desk" personnel, the wait staff and the housekeepers were all very pleasant and helpful. They provide a continental breakfast each morning to Bonvoy platinum members and above. We had low expectations, but it was very good and more than enough to eat. The plate included yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, freshly made banana bread and a croissant. We had Mario as our server twice and he was very friendly and efficient. They brought a small pot of coffee with our breakfast as well. Our safe in the room had an error message after we checked in, I called and in 5 minutes a maintenance person was there to fix it. The location was very good as it is across the street from the Biltmore entrance and ten minutes from downtown Asheville. The only minor item would be that I believe $30 for daily valet parking is a bit high, but the valets were excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in hotels all over the world. I have never experienced a more pleasurable stay than at the Grand Bohemian in Asheville. The hotel staff, restaurant staff and the housekeeping staff all receive a 12 out of 10 for our vacation visit.

The Grand Bohemian in Asheville is not worth the money spent. The entry garage was busy when we arrived. Hotel offers valet only parking. The process was extremely rushed. No one offered to help with luggage. We later learned that the cars are parked outside. Ours was covered in leaves. The front desk staff was nice. When we got to our “upgraded” room we first noticed there was only a tiny window covered with wood slats. The bathroom - including a big tub- was separated from the small bedroom by a heavy curtain. A half empty water bottle was on the bathroom sink. They offered us another room but it was across the street. Again, no offer to help with luggage. It was dark outside. We crossed a busy street with luggage in tow. The room did not offer good lighting but it had 2 more windows with slats than the initial one. The bathroom vanity was small with dim lighting. There was nothing “smart” about the room. We were scrambling for plugs for phones and computers. We walked back over to the lodge in the rain the next AM to take a look around the main lobby. It was unique. Breakfast room service was late. We ordered the night before. We’ve stayed in some amazing lodges throughout our travels but this was not one. For $860 plus parking this hotel was not worth the money.

This 12 year old hotel, featuring a "big game" restaurant, (The Red Stag Grill), strives to reflect the Biltmore Inn Hotel, and Grove Park Inn ambiance decor and dining, but it misses the mark. Priced in the $400 a day range it is less than the aforementioned hotels and is not their equal. The reserved room I requested, and paid for in advance at their online website, was not the one we received. It lacked a balcony and certain amenities in the shower that were shown on the website. When questioned about this the manger told us that he never saw the bathroom amenities I spoke of on their website. I checked again, they are most definitely there in the room photos. We were told that the hotel was booked so changing to the room I thought I reserved was not possible. The room itself, except for the fancy tub most seniors have no chance of getting into and out of, was no better in size or decor than room at hotels costing far less. Room service included a 20% fee, and a $5.00 charge for the delivery. Upon departure I challenged the $27 a day parking fee guests had to pay that is in addition to the daily room charges. Friends visiting hotel guests get free validated parking, and those coming just for lunch/dinner pay only a $8.00 parking fee. After listening to my opinion about the unfairness of those charges the desk manger agreed to waive those $27 a day parking charges. The Red Stag Grill highlights their game menu like a $40 Elk steak, sides are $5 each. Other options include duck that was disappointing as were the fried calamari appetizer and the soup offering. All in all the menu was expensive and only a little above average at best.Their touted wine list was substantial, but most bottles were over $100.00, certainly the ones the waiter recommended. The Red Stag Lounge had a long bar and seating at tables. The problem was that if one wanted to have a pre dinner drink in the lounge seating was only available at the bar because the few tables they had were reserved for those patrons ordering food from the bar menu. Considering the many other Asheville hotel options (both more and/or less expensive), I could not recommend this hotel and restaurant experience as getting the most "bang for your buck." As a lifetime Titanium Elite member I requested an early check in. Hotel told me no, it was a small boutique hotel (104 rooms is small???). They said they would text me, never did. I got there at 4:10PM and waited and waited as two couples were being checked in. No Elite member check in. Instead 2 guys were checking each couple at their desks. Since they had no concierge there the clerks were also explaining the hotel and area to the guests. At 4:20, still waiting, a person came up from somewhere and asked if I could be helped, I told him that I was just waiting to check in. So the check in period was now over 10 minutes, they were in NO HURRY. Finally a couple was done, I was next.
My process took 3 minutes, the snob behind the desk seemed not to like me. He shared that the restaurant was closed for renovation as well, asked if I wanted the points awarded to my account due to restaurant closure and I accepted this. The points were never awarded...
In lieu of the restaurant the hotel set up a daily breakfast buffet in their ballroom. Buffet consisted of coffee, juice, scrambled eggs, sausage, raw fruit, and yogurt; same set up as Hotel 6 except this hotel lacked waffles and bread for toast.
Parking for the hotel is across the street but you cannot self-park. No option there, you are stuck paying $30 a day for parking.
Room was nice, valets were nice as well. The check in process was horrible. We were there to buy property in Asheville, the welcome from the hotel staff was a horrible experience.
If you are traveling to Asheville I recommend that you consider a different hotel, check in process is time consuming, parking is extremely limited and $30 a day in Asheville is just crass, and dining options for breakfast are horrible.
All that said there is a Ruth Chris within walking distance of the hotel, the food and service there was outstanding!!!

From the moment I arrived, the staff at this hotel treated me like a valued guest. Alex, one of the very professional and welcoming valets, greeted me upon arrival and removed my luggage out of the back of my car while I checked in. My room was ready right away even though I was early, so I greatly appreciated that. That evening I had dinner at the Red Stag Grill, and John S was a truly excellent server!! He was very attentive but yet gave me the space that I needed. My filet and Caesar salad were absolutely delicious and the filet was cooked perfectly. This restaurant’s wine menu is absolutely excellent. Kudos to the Somm!! For someone who enjoys good wine, you might have a difficult time deciding which wine to order, but there are plenty of wines available by the glass so I tried several over the course of my stay.
The King room I had, which was in the main building, not the separate Manor building, was very comfortable. The bed slept very comfortably and the bath linens and bed linens were of a high-quality. There is a tub and a walk-in shower, as well as a separate toilet area. The water pressure in the shower was good, but the space in the shower was a bit small for a woman needing to shave her legs. I ended up turning the water off so that I could shave and then turning the water back on to rinse off. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. The TV in the room was large but to my knowledge, it is not a smart TV, so you would not be able to stream Netflix or other streaming services. I inquired about hooking up a DVD player, but that is not an option either. Again, not a huge deal, but some of the channels we normally watch such as Ion, WE and Oxygen, were not available here. One thing that truly impressed me with this hotel is that they have resumed offering daily housekeeping. I opted not to have it since I was only here a few nights, but I applaud them for trying to get back to offering all the normal perks of staying in a nice hotel.
Spa review:
My massage was overall a good experience. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was that I paid an additional $25 for the use of whipped body butter during my massage, but oil was used. When I inquired about this afterwards, the spa hostess told me that they mix the body butter with the oil. That seems odd. It definitely was not worth the additional $25. Aside from that, it was a good massage. The table was heated and the linens were silky soft. The only other thing worth mentioning for potential future guests is that there is no relaxation area to have spa snacks and tea. I was offered a small bottle of water upon my departure, but that is the only beverage I was offered. For these prices, I would expect there to at least be tea or a neck wrap or complimentary champagne.

As a proud Marriott Titanium member, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing many exceptional properties, but my recent stay at the Bohemian Autograph Collection was truly something special. The unique and eclectic charm of this hotel delivers exactly what you’d expect from an "Autograph" property, blending luxury with artistic flair in a way that stands out from the crowd.
From the moment I arrived, the attention to detail and warm hospitality were immediately apparent. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, and the property itself is an experience—beautifully designed with artistic touches that offer something new at every turn. It’s the perfect blend of sophistication and creativity, making it unlike any other hotel.
The room was exquisitely appointed with thoughtful design elements that added to the boutique feel. Every aspect of my stay was catered with care, and I couldn’t help but appreciate how each detail contributed to the overall experience.
It’s stays like this that reinforce why I choose Marriott, and why I’m proud to be a Titanium member. Well done, Bohemian Autograph Collection, for delivering such a remarkable experience. Highly recommend!

I have seen drone footage of Biltmore Village and the outside of the Grand Bohemian in news reports. The flood waters were almost to the top of the car portico entrance. That means the first floor and possibly the second floor were flooded. Besides the flood damage, the public water and sewer are out in Asheville so it could be some time before many hotels reopen. Check with Marriott Bonvey for specifics. Very sad.
There are more places to choose from in the Asheville area.
