I have stayed in most of the nicer hotels and inns in the Asheville area. In my opinion this is the best of them. The rooms are comfortable with great beds and small patios looking out on the mountains. The setting is quiet, beautiful and near great places to hike. The modern bathrooms have the most comfortable tubs you can...

For our anniversary we decided to visit a quaint bed and breakfast seculded on the northside of Asheville. Tucked away on 100 acres, this place is a great to relax and enjoy the mountain air. 3200 feet up, it is easily accessible to downtown Asheville, yet remote enough to have some wonderful peace and quiet. Susan and her staff go...

My husband and I stayed at the Sourwood Inn, Room 11, on July 21, and we could not have been more pleased. The inn offers a beautiful, tranquil setting not too far from Asheville but off the beaten path enough to be a real retreat from civilization's hustle and bustle. But this is NOT to say the Sourwood is uncivilized...

My daughter was touring UNC Asheville and we stayed at the Sourwood instead of a hotel in town as a street festival was set to be in town the Friday we were leaving. The room we stayed in (#5) had two very comfortable beds, a great big bathroom and a wonderful sitting area. The beds had nice soft sheets and...

My wife and I just enjoyed a great weekend at the Sourwood Inn. The innkeepers and staff were great and very accomodating. It was a perfect weekend for getting outside. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts each morning and decided to have dinner there each night. We dined outside at sunset. The dinners were well-prepared and wonderful. The staff chilled and...

We just returned from our second visit to Sourwood Inn, and we know there will be many more. This beautiful inn is nestled right in the midst of the trees on a mountain ridge; there couldn't be a lovelier setting. Whether you're looking for a place to get away from it all or a base from which to see Asheville...

We recently enjoyed our first visit to the Sourwood Inn and can't wait to go back. The Innkeepers couldn't be more warm, friendly and eager to share their love of the mountains with the guests. They are lifelong residents of Asheville and a great resource for any thing you want to do in the area. The wildflowers were in full...

We recently spent 3 wonderful days at the Sourwood. We went there on the recommendation of friends, and have recommended the Sourwood to several of our friends since we've returned. We echo the responses of other TA advisors about the many attributes of the Sourwood. We stayed on the 2nd floor in room 6 and recommend that floor for the...
