There are few places that give you a true opportunity to rest the moment you walk in the door. The Sourwood inn is one of those rare gems that you have a hard time ever straying from because of its beauty and its and great customer service, and what's more – the food! Chef Kacia has served my wife Amy...

My husband and I don't get the opportunity to escape sans kids at all (for the last 9.5 years since we had kids). We recently had the chance for Grandma to come stay with them for the first time so we had to find a place. We thought Asheville would be fun and not too far from Charlotte. Friends of...

Dana, Thank you! Your gracious and detailed review is so appreciated. I hope you are able to get away before 9 more years. As for the Oatmeal Pancakes, that is the only breakfast recipe we keep to ourselves...maybe you can come try them again;)

I'm hesitant to post a review about the Sourwood Inn because I don't want others to discover this gem! We booked a weekend stay at Sourwood at the suggestion of a friend who's been going six years running and raving about it for years. We now understand why! From the warm comforting fireplace, snacks, and comfy couches that greeted us...

Charming rooms, incredible location, fabulous food and wonderful attention to detail by Innkeepers, Susan, Anne and Nat. We were there in early December and unfortunately, not during a dinner service, but if Anne's oatmeal pancakes or Susan's goat cheese and spinach omelet where any indication, I suspect dinner is fabulous as well. The Inn was built specifically as a B&B:...

We have been coming to Sourwood Inn for 11 years. It is in my top 5 places to stay. The Inn itself is beautiful and interesting. Each room is different with a working fireplace and huge tub overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. But, it is the owner and her family and staff that really make it special.

We absolutely loved the Sourwood Inn. The place is gorgeous, and they have a big property with lots of options for activities. The rooms are large, the bathrooms are also large and luxurious, and my favorite - a fireplace in each room. We were able to sleep to the sound of a crackling fire. The staff is extremely helpful and...

The inn is gorgeous, welcoming, and tucked away on 100 acres of woods, offering both privacy and serenity. The hosts are helpful and kind, and the food was delicious. It was clear that the other guests also felt at home, helping to poke the fire in the dining room to get it going just right. We could see the stars,...

My husband and I are caretakers for our 90 year old parents, so we decided to take a one day away "stay vacation" at Sourwood Inn. The not so long and winding road to our destination revealed beautiful forests and outstanding views of the comfortably rolling Blue Ridge Mountains of WNC. The Inn itself sits on 100 acres of woods...
