Located in downtown, we expected it to easier to get around in the area but there was so much construction going on we drove and parked to do our sightseeing. It’s a nice hotel though. Good, friendly staff. Has restaurant on the first floor that has a nice food and fairly affordable. Had a number people with their dogs. Rooms were clean with big bathrooms and showers. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Had places to recycle your paper and plastic plus they had a water machine to fill glass jars for water in your room. Very pleased with our stay.

Picked this hotel based on TA reviews for my first visit to Asheville. I enjoyed the hotel location and the views from my hotel room. Hotel and room was clean and comfortable. Parking is valet only, but it was a breeze when dropping off and picking up my SUV. Hotel was very easy to get to as it is just off I-420. Hotel was also within walking distance to all the sights in downtown Asheville. I also visited the Biltmore Mansion, which was only about 6 min drive to Biltmore Village. I had the breakfast which I enjoyed as it was fresh, the coffee was also good, plus there is a bar for drink at night. I also like that there is glass container for water where you can fill it with a water filter system on the floor. If I every come to Asheville, I would stay here again.

I frequent Asheville regularly and always wanted to stay at Indigo. I had an opportunity to do so with a friend and for the price, it was not great nor what I expected, since they seem like a higher-end hotel. It was average at best.
The room was not very clean, with hairs on the windowsills, a hair on the sheets something sticky, and cup/rings on the surface of the nightstand. I used wipes to wipe everything down. Under the dresser was not dusted. There were dirty fingerprint marks on the light switches. There were 4 coffees in the room, but only 2 packs of cheap condiments with only one sugar in each. The small fridge had an odd smell, and we did not use it.
Breakfast which was included was a disaster! Since there are so many good restaurants in Asheville, I was skeptical about eating at the hotel, but they said, it was a made-to-order, served breakfast and not a buffet. Since this is supposed to be a nicer hotel, we went with the breakfast. Service was odd. They are out of several things on their menu, bacon, Swiss cheese, and orange juice - most of what should be staples for any breakfast restaurant. Then I got a stale, wheat bread HEEL (which I've never been served in any restaurant!) with my omelet - this was very off-putting since they were out of so much it made me feel like they scrounged around for a piece of wheat bread. My vegetarian friend ordered an omelet with no meat, and it showed up with ham. They tried to make everything right, but it was unpleasant and made us wonder who was actually cooking and running the kitchen. Also, the sanitation rating posted was 96 which I felt should be better for this type of hotel.
On the flip side, the hotel desk staff was nice, and the valet parking was handled excellently (but I think it's a third party). The location was great and within walking distance to downtown.
Was hoping to take my husband back to stay, but I think not. I will be letting the hotel manager know about my disappointing experience. It's too bad as my friend said she stayed at a different Indigo and it was a great experience, but Asheville, not so much for either of us.

To begin with the hotel is under construction so early morning we were awaken by the noise of drilling, hammering and all other noise created from the workers. When we checked in I was told i was getting a room away from the elevator and with a view. In reality I had the room directly across from the elevator and my view was of a parking deck for the local utility trucks. The room, though recently remolded , had no closet or bar to hang anything on and provided 3 small drawers for all of our clothes and personal items. There was only 1 mirror in the whole room above the single sink in the bathroom. They advertise a full breakfast but only offered a skimpy buffet with reheated eggs and soggy bacon. No accommodation was offered for this and we were still charged $12/pp. Upon checking out the deposit of $450 I prepaid was lost in their computer system and billed me for the entire stay. It took a half an hour to get this straightened out On a brighter note the hotels staff was very nice and the location was a short walk to the center of town.

733arniel, your experience with the disruptions from ongoing renovations and issues related to your room items and amenities are regrettable. We'd like to clarify that we take great care to ensure our guests' comfort, and it's disappointing when our efforts fall short. We also understand your dissatisfaction with the breakfast and the unsettled prepaid deposit during checkout. On a more positive note, we're glad to hear our team members were positive aspects of your stay and that our central location was of convenience to you. Your feedback is invaluable as it helps us focus our improvements. We hope to have another opportunity to provide a more satisfying experience.

I've stayed at this hotel several times, many when it first opened. The room and property are clean. Furniture (night tables, desk) could use a refresh. Parking is a bit pricey and you must use valet or find a spot in a garage somewhere. The 'to go' counter doesn't have much of a selection, muffins are packaged not from a local bakery - big miss. They do have a restaurant but with so much to do not everyone wants to take time for a sit down breakfast. The room had a lot of traffic noise but did come with a broken sound machine :-) The staff was cordial.

We've stayed in this hotel many times in the past, as recently as December of 2023. We were disappointed to arrive and find out that the hotel is under renovation. There is basically no lobby. The restaurant area is greatly reduced. The elevators are stripped. There was no indication on their website that there was any work being done. Most of the rooms have already been redesigned but sadly the designers went for form over function. The photos on the website show the old rooms. The new rooms do have a nice bathroom but the walk in show has no safety bar. The new beds are a hazard. The sides and especially corners are hidden by the bedspread and are extremely painful when your leg hits them. Even knowing about them after a few painful lessons.. it was hard to avoid. The desk chair is not a desk chair. It's a short regular chair with no wheels. The height was no adjustable. Horrible to sit at when working on a laptop. One of the supposedly comfortable chairs in the room had a light fixture attached to the back. The light hung over the chair and the shade had a piece of clear plastick that covered the bottom. My 6'2" husband hit his head on the lamp every time he got out of the chair. As a plus, they did add one usb port on each side of the bed, however there were new outlets put in near the desk with no usb ports. Another plus is that they now have a drink refridgerator, which they didn't have before. On top of everything else, the desk worker told us " We will put you in a room with a mountain view and far from the elevator " ( the elevator choice is in our IHG profile) Well, our room had a view of the telephone company and it was DIRECTLY across from the elevator. We were only staying 2 nights and they seemed a bit short staffed, so we just let it go. We will hold off on staying here again. There are other options in Asheville that we enjoy. It's too bad, this used to be a good place to stay.

We had several rooms booked at this hotel to attending wedding. Not one of our guests were happy with their stay and the concerns were not minimal. I have listed them here: 1) Dirty rooms, with hair on the floor and bathroom. Several of our guests raised this issue 2) Rooms not cleaned, only stocked with towels, beds not made 3) Bathroom sink not draining, 4) Bathroom on main floor- not stocked with toilet paper 5) Bathrooms not stocked with soap 6) Wi-Fi was extremely slow for all our guests. I was not able to download any document or visit any website 7) MOST IMPORTANT: My daughter got stuck in the elevator from 11:30am-12:35pm. I understand that elevators can get stuck but when I called to get them call fire department, they reacted so rudely to me as my concern for my daughter was not an urgent matter. I was appalled that for them getting stuck in between floors is not an urgent issue. My daughter was alone in that elevator in dark for over an hour!! The fact that the elevators got stuck earlier that day (I learned later from other guests) and they did not bother to post a sign so that people avoid that, is not handling things properly.
There were other minor issues, like printer not working, they did not give a space for luggage storage when checking out, they messed up our food order for breakfast and cancelled on us after waiting for 20 min. Small gym with minimal equipment. What I can't accept is lack of attention to cleanliness especially in times of covid!
Honestly, I wish I could say one positive thing about this hotel that charges over $300/night. My son stayed at Marriott for a 1/3 of this price and was so pleased with cleanliness and amenities!
All these issues were brought up to the manager attention with no reaction from her!!

Good location, friendly staff but rooms were pretty dinged up and dirty. I don't think they vacuum the halls or rooms regularly or at all. the dresser drawers were pretty dirty and the there was dust pretty much everywhere in the rooms. Housekeeping came once during our four night stay and not until the late afternoon when we wanted to be in our room. I don’t think housekeeping did anything to clean the room except take out the trash and fold some towels.
No self parking, beds are comfortable. I incorrectly assumed the restaurant would serve dinner, but they only serve breakfast.

If you Google the hotel, there is an option to view photos of the outside of the hotel ["See Outside"]. Click on the picture that looks like the side of the building and scroll/swipe left until you see Haywood Street. If you click on the street just under the traffic light, you will see a very small green space near the parking garage entrance on the left where there is a trash can a poop bag dispenser. It's the closest green spot for the dogs to do their business. You'd have to walk a bit farther to find a larger "park" area, especially if they need more space to roam and find the right patch of grass.
There are more places to choose from in the Asheville area.
