This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Macintosh and it was a lovely room. The bubble tub fits two for anyone who is wondering. Larry and Nancy were wonderfully sweet and funny and helpful. The afternoon wine hour was a great way to get to know the...

This was stop two on our counterclockwise circle through western VA and NC, to Hilton Head, and then back to DC. Applewood was lovely, the hosts very nice and helpful. The breakfasts if anything were too wonderful, the food was great, the portions large, the only problem was that the first thing I wanted to do after eating was to...

Our stay at Applewood Inn was all that one would hope for in a B and B. The hosts, Nancy and Larry Merrill, exuded warmth and gracious hospitality. There were many thoughtful touches such as daily chocolate on our pillows, wine and cheese late afternoon, and delicious and hearty breakfasts. They were also happy to offer restaurant suggestions, directions and...

My husband and I recently stayed at Larry & Nancy's Applewood Manor Inn Bed & Breakfast for our honeymoon. It couldn't have been more picture perfect! Each morning we looked forward to Nancy's delicious meals (meals were adjusted to meet our specific dietary needs when necessary) and Larry's adorable humor. We just can't say enough about how lovely Applewood Manor...

From the minute you walk into this beautiful home, they are there to take care...

The house and grounds were amazing and there were more than our share of quiet spots to enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds The room was spacious and very well kept and we had our own private balcony to sit on. The breakfasts were exquisite and...

Traveling with your beloved dog? Look no further, this is the place. Staying at Applewood Manor Inn was the highlight of our first trip to Asheville. The fact that the grounds were so beautiful AND accessible to our large breed dog was icing on the cake. Nancy and Larry made us all feel welcome. The accommodations were wonderful and the...

Wow! This B & B was fantastic...my husband and I are so happy to have found the Applewood Manor Inn and will definitely be back. The accommodations are top notch, the breakfast is wonderful and the hospitality is second to none. The proprietors, Larry & Nancy Merrill, could not have been more personable and inviting. They warmly welcomed us at the door, had wine waiting in the dining room for happy hour, gave a complete tour of the house and cottage, and had a laid back attitude the whole weekend. What was theirs was yours. Oh, and did I mention that...
