My husband and I stayed in the cottage for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was a great experience. The food was yummy, not your ordinary. The cottage was very peaceful and beautifully decorated. We will be coming back.
Just stayed two nights the other weekend and the home is just as advertised - very nice! We stayed in the hummingbird room, the bed was very comfortable, fireplace was excellent and everything about it was 5 stars. We were greeted with a glass of...More
We were at the Carolina B&B for one night. We were greeted by James and shown around the first floor, then taken to our room. Wine and appetizers were offered and made a very impressive spread. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable, however we...More
This B&B was a miss for us unfortunately. Two main reasons: 1) Not accommodating to dietary restrictions, despite advertising they were on the website: I cannot eat pork, and noted that in our reservation. We showed up for breakfast, which was a waffle and bacon....More

Thank you for your inquiry.
Our B&B is about three miles from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. It is another four miles from the entrance to the house. You can take a taxi there but unfortunately the Biltmore does not have any form of transportation inside the Estate. Asheville itself has limited public transportation. For the most part you will need a car to really benefit from all the city has to offer. And there is a lot! Besides the Biltmore, downtown Asheville (a short walk from the Carolina B&B) is considered to be a architectural jewel in addition to be filled with independent boutiques and restaurants. Three miles from downtown area in the opposite direction is our River Arts District, full of artist's studios and galleries. Then, of course, there is the Blue Ridge Parkway with it's stunning vistas of the Mountains, accessible both by car and for hiking. Outside the city, farms and farmer's markets abound.
I hope this helps!
