My husband and I spent two nights at the Carolina Bed and Breakfast on a recent trip to Asheville. The house and grounds were lovely and James was very welcoming and friendly. Our room (the Goldfinch Room) was lovely and the bed was very, very...More
We can't say enough good things about how much we enjoyed our stay at the Carolina B&B and how gracious James was as a host. We were rained on literally every minute of our visit, but staying at such a charming inn made it feel...More

Thank you for your inquiry.
Our B&B is about three miles from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. It is another four miles from the entrance to the house. You can take a taxi there but unfortunately the Biltmore does not have any form of transportation inside the Estate. Asheville itself has limited public transportation. For the most part you will need a car to really benefit from all the city has to offer. And there is a lot! Besides the Biltmore, downtown Asheville (a short walk from the Carolina B&B) is considered to be a architectural jewel in addition to be filled with independent boutiques and restaurants. Three miles from downtown area in the opposite direction is our River Arts District, full of artist's studios and galleries. Then, of course, there is the Blue Ridge Parkway with it's stunning vistas of the Mountains, accessible both by car and for hiking. Outside the city, farms and farmer's markets abound.
I hope this helps!
