My husband and I just returned from our relaxing weekend getaway. This was my fist time away from our one year old son and we could not have picked a better place. I've been telling my friends all about it ever since returned.
Just completed a very relaxing weekend at the Carolina B&B. Stayed in the separate Cottage and enjoyed two great nights of sleep and plenty of room to stretch out. The breakfasts and evening hors d'oeuvres (with wine) are expertly prepared and all dietary requests are...More
We really landed on our feet. We stayed for 3 nights and was probably my favorite accomodation during my 2 week stay in the south east. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were interesting and different every day. The welcome was warm...More
Beautiful home with architectural character in a great location. Furnishings and decor excellent. Landscaping gorgeous and well maintained. Breakfasts were unique and delicious. Generally, attention to detail is superlative in every aspect.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Our B&B is about three miles from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. It is another four miles from the entrance to the house. You can take a taxi there but unfortunately the Biltmore does not have any form of transportation inside the Estate. Asheville itself has limited public transportation. For the most part you will need a car to really benefit from all the city has to offer. And there is a lot! Besides the Biltmore, downtown Asheville (a short walk from the Carolina B&B) is considered to be a architectural jewel in addition to be filled with independent boutiques and restaurants. Three miles from downtown area in the opposite direction is our River Arts District, full of artist's studios and galleries. Then, of course, there is the Blue Ridge Parkway with it's stunning vistas of the Mountains, accessible both by car and for hiking. Outside the city, farms and farmer's markets abound.
I hope this helps!
