Country Inn & Suites By Radisson on Asheville's Downtown Tunnel Road comes highly recommended for its array of amenities, including a pool, hot tub, and a robust breakfast selection, nestled conveniently for exploring downtown. While some guests have lauded the hotel for its cleanliness and spacious rooms, opinions on service and decor are split, with incidents of poor service tempering the praise. The value proposition also receives mixed reviews, though the hotel's prime location and overall cleanliness are consistent highlights among visitors' feedback.

Mykala & Val offered wonderful service by personally stepping up to take care of us.
Good room, great linens, ample breakfast-with attentive service there, too.
Housekeeping had missed our room, the last available one, and Mykala readied it for us while we waited. She saved our night.

We spent a few nights here recently. The staff at the front desk was super helpful with things from using their lobby computer to print some documents to mailing cards for us. The lodging itself was really clean, one day there was a guy scrubbing the walls on the first floor and it seemed like they constantly had maintenance people working on the property. Our room was spacious and mostly comfortable. The bathroom was a little cramped. The window opened for fresh air. The location was quiet. The breakfast was pretty good with mini omelets, sausage, a variety of breads for toasting, fried potatoes, waffles, and several other options the day we tried it. The only negative was the water. It was super noisy and we laughed about every time anyone around us flushed or used their water. Also, the temperature of the shower water varied depending on if someone else nearby was running their water. The floor of the tub in the shower was slippery and there wasn't a rubber mat to put down. After our first day there the pool was closed due to some electrical problem. I'd stay here again. It was a quiet location, not downtown but close, and it was wonderful to have the window open and hear the birds singing.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and price of this hotel. It’s quiet and convenient to downtown Asheville and The Biltmore. The staff was friendly band helpful. You can tell how sanitary this place is when you walk in the door and you can’t beat the price. We will return!

One of cleanest most comfortable hotels we have ever stayed in. Between the indoor saltwater pool and hot tub, clean weight room, large breakfast buffet, to the spacious rooms with comfy beds and built in USB ports on all the lights and desks, this place has it all and more.
Probably the best thing though about this hotel is the staff. Seriously Jacob, the assistant manager is some sort of hospitality angel. We had several last minute changes and he just made it so easy. Laidback, yet totally accommodating and attentive to our requests. The rest of the staff including Casey the GM were so sweet too.
The only downside is it’s so comfy that it’s hard to make yourself leave and go explore! But the location is so central, it takes 5-10 minutes TOPS to get to anywhere in Asheville, be it downtown, West Asheville, or RAD (the River Arts District).
We definitely will stay here every time we come to visit Asheville. For the price, you get so much.

This hotel was very clean and well-maintained. All of the hotel employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and quiet. We had plenty of room for our family of three. We’ve stayed at a few Country Inn & Suites during our current cross-country trips; this particular location is SO much nicer than the others we’ve stayed in. Would recommend.

This hotel has nice accommodations but they are very unethical. They charged me $297.33 for one nights stay, when my confirmed booking.com price was $235.67. I pointed out the $61.66 price difference and was told that $50 would be credited after housekeeping cleaned the room. (I have never heard of such a practice.) Being on vacation and ready to move ahead with our day, I foolishly accepted that explanation, especially considering the overcharge was more than $50. It is now over a month later, and after three phone calls and an email and repeatedly being promised that the manager would look into it, I still have not received a credit for the $61.66 that is due to me. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel, nor booking.com either.

I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites Tunnel Road during my time in Asheville. My parents and I had an excellent stay at this establishment. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed with the modern décor and cleanliness. The Front Desk attendant, Jacob who kindly accommodated our requests to be placed on a higher floor, greeted us promptly upon arrival. He was also knowledgeable about surrounding restaurants and activities. Our room was lovely, a great amount of space, comfortable beds, and a spacious bathroom. Personally, I prefer a firmer pillow, but was informed that their pillows had recently been exchanged. Each morning we ate breakfast downstairs and it was always fresh and delicious. The ladies who work that area are kind and efficient. Mariana, a front desk attendant, was also a joy to converse with and we enjoyed sharing are travel plans for the day with her. Lastly, I would like to acknowledge Jonathan who told us about the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance and where to see a beautiful sunset. Whenever I return to Asheville, NC I will most definitely be staying at this establishment. Keep up the excellent work.

Hotel is conveniently situated between downtown and the Biltmore (15 minute away). Rooms were nice sized & very clean. Beds are very comfortable. The entrance off the highway is a little odd, so coming in through Waffle House makes it easier.
Just an FYI... don’t count the breakfast included as it only contains breakfast bars, bananas, grits, juice & coffee. I did speak with one of the guys working the desk when we left. So many are a least pre making egg sandwiches or do it yourself waffles and more items in general. Time for a better offering since it’s included in our price. Or they could work with Waffle House (it’s basically in the same entrance area) & offer a voucher. Ihop is just a Block away as well.
No issues with our issues with our stay.

I was greeted by a truly Beautiful Soul, Jacob. He was extremely polite and accommodating; a rarity in our world today. A Housekeeping staff member called to see if I needed anything which I appreciated. The facility is clean and quiet; modern and artsy. My stay was very comfortable and just what I needed. Thank you to everyone who contributed to my mini vacation. 💜🙏💜
