Location great. Rooms fine, but not to level usually expected at a higher-level Marriott. Elevators awful. Appeared to be construction. I was inappropriately charged extra. I emailed and Marriott volunteered to correct it immediately, but never did. When I inquired again, individual indicated I should contact my bank because I was credited (I obviously wasn't as the individual was claiming...

Have stayed here several times. Staff is helpful, but not over the top. Person who checked me out did not ask how my stay was. Nothing major, but not as forward in customer service as other Marriots. Location is good, with access to the Hynes Convention Center and the T. The exercise facility is reasonably well stocked. Two negatives to...

By American hospitality standards, this hotel has an excellent room size. The location is fantastic - close to almost anywhere in Boston. Wifi connection was great, in-room dining service was remarkably efficient, and the premises are clean. Lift renovation had led to floor access being a bit slow but it was not a big negative. The lounge, coffee shop and...

The hotel itself was clean, the amenities were nice. The service left a bit to be desired. Everyone on staff was fond of passing the buck. What really prompted me to give this a one star is for its environment. If you are remotely affected by environmental issues, stay far away from this hotel. The only thing missing was the...

I booked 2 nights at Boston Marriott Copley Place, somehow they were overbooked, and sent us away at 11pm to a motel! They said all their other similarly rated were full as well. We stayed the second night at the Marriott, room was small and clean, and no free Wi-Fi (not surprised as they got fined for blocking clients' internet...

I have stayed at this hotel several times and continue to choose it for it's location. The Marriott is in the heart of Boston and walking distance to most anything. There are tons of restaurants in the area as well as several shopping malls. The hotel is currently under some renovation/construction which is causing some long waits at the elevators,...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
