Location of this property was great. The hotel itself was very good, what you would expect from a Marriott. There is a Starbucks on the 2nd floor and a connection to the Copley Mall. The executive lounge breakfast was good (as expected). I only stayed here one night due to a work function but would stay again. Note that the...

We arrived well after midnight since our flight was delayed but the concierge staff was still friendly, helpful, & kind. Our room has a view of the river. There are two malls connected to the hotel & the T (subway) is only a short walk (a few blocks). We found the restaurant a little over priced but the food was...

If you are looking for a great location and predictable Marriott quality, this is a good choice. The T is easily accessible and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping. The Boston Public Library is a short 5-minute walk and the Museum of Fine Arts is a short T ride. A large grocery store is across the street if you...

The location of this hotel is great. There is an inside walkway to the T (subway). There is two shopping centers attached to the hotel with great stores and restaurants. Across the street from the hotel is a grocery store for snacks and drinks. Right down the street is a drug store and many shops and places to eat. The...

First time in Boston and could not have asked for a more convenient location to explore the city! Had a corner room an the 31st floor, which offered great views of Boston. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the bathroom is very small... The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is connected to a large shopping complex,...

Location is great if you love shopping! One of the stops if you hop on and off Trolley Tours. Bed is comfortable . The down side is no free wifi in your room unless you want to pay $13 a day ! Taking the lift to room is great as waiting time is minimised but don't feel there is much...

On check in, I was asked to give a credit card to have on file. I handed the clerk a credit card and a visa gift card valued at $150.00 to use toward the room. The clerk handed back the gift card and told me to use it when I checked out. My daughter told me she wanted to pay...

While the hotel itself (minus the debacle described below) was very nice as usual, the new elevator program was a complete disaster. This review should probably be about ThyssenKrupp Elevator and not Marriott, but ultimately it was their decision to launch the 'updated' process. It took more than 30 minutes from the time we pushed 21 to actually set foot...

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for staying with us, and thank you also for the nice comments about our hotel. Regarding the elevators, I would like to take this opportunity to let you that we are at the last stages of their remodelling. This was our very first stay here and it was really nice. Check in was fast and easy and they let us check in four hours early, which was a nice surprise. The room was clean and comfortable. Best part was that we shopped the malls and were so close to the hotel that we made many trips to drop...

It's Marriott; what else did you expect? Excellent service, comfortable bed extra feather pillows, cool ambience; no free wifi though even with silver status!!! Copley square mall is pricey: $165 for cool hosiery!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
