We stayed here for a weekend getaway and found the location second to none. The North End, Quincy Market and the Freedom Trail were all wishing footsteps. Plus, the doormen were absolutely top notch with great recommendations for transportation and food. The only knock may be that the room is aging a little.

Dear Peter F – Thanks for the review. I will be happy to celebrate the success with the door staff and their ability to make a personal connection with you. Although in very good shape, the room renovation is slated for 2016. Hope to see you back with us soon. More

This is a great place. Near a T stop, the Aquarium, all the harbor cruises, trolley stops, great restaurants including a Legal Seafood across from the front entrance, etc. Basically it's on the harbor walk which is a good option especially walking south towards South Station or towards the Fan Pier area with some newer restaurants and the must see... Dear Racosi – Thanks for the excellent review. I appreciate the attention to our friendly staff. I am glad they were able to exceed your expectations. The phased public space renovation is now complete with the guest room corridors that were finished this winter. Guest rooms are next and will take place in 2016. See you back soon I trust. More

As a Marriott you know that it is a very nice hotel. The inside is very attractive and rooms very clean and nice. But you could not beat the location! We were right next to the harbour, where the whale whatching and seaport cruise boats board, and close to the Aquarium and a block from Fannuel Hall and Quincy Market.... More

Right on Long Wharf. Close to the Aquarium, North End, Faneuil Hall. Clean, upscale, rooms are very comfortable, service is top notch. Easy to get to. Would stay here again. We were able to walk to the North End easily, so we did not try any of the dining here. The pool and fitness center are very nice as well.

The Marriott Long Wharf is our favorite Boston hotel. The facility itself is top notch, with it's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, best beds of all hotels and one of the strongest points is the staff! On this trip as well as all in the past, we never came across one staff member with the least bit of a grudge or bad... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
