Neighbourhood
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review her stay and for the generous rating! The combination of the hotel's historic architecture and contemporary interior design; our spacious and comfortable suites; a super convenient location in Boston's elegant and fashionable Back Bay district; and, of course, our genuinely caring staff committed to providing personalized service; combine to create a distinctive "Eliot experience!" I'm delighted this guest had such a "fabulous stay," and look forward to welcoming her back once more.

After a long 19 hour journey, they were good enough to upgrade me to a comfortable room with a separate sitting area. The staff were excellent and they also have a great Japanese restaurant. Can't recommend it highly enough

Fantastic hotel, great value and very well appointed suites. The staff were all very nice but extremely young. I found out the hotel is used as a training ground for students of a hospitality management college nearby. That’s fine. Everyone has to have a chance to learn but

I wish to thank this guest for taking the time to review his stay and am delighted that, overall, he rates the Eliot as a "fantastic hotel with great value and well-appointed suites." As a hotel dedicated to personalized service, our genuinely caring staff ensures that attention to detail, and efficiency in service are the hallmarks of our guest service approach. I regret very much that this was not completely realized for this guest during his current stay and apologize for any disappointment. I do, however, wish to clarify for TripAdvisor readers, that the Eliot Hotel is not a "training ground," for nearby hospitality students. Actually, we pride ourselves in the longevity of our operations and management staff, many of whom have been at the Eliot for 15, 20 and even over 30 years! Such longevity among our staff allows for consistency in service on many levels and helps us nurture guest relationships over the long term. It is true that we do supplement our staff with a small number of interns from some of the world's most highly regarded hospitality management programs. They are drawn to the Eliot precisely for its international reputation for service excellence. Our historic legacy of making such internships available is to make a contribution to the training of the next leaders in our industry. I wish to assure this guest and prospective guests, that they may have full confidence in the competency of our staff and in the standards maintained by our highly committed team of professionals. I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming this guest back once again and am grateful for the opportunity to be able to inform the TripAdvisor readership about our service philosophy.

Are there any local cafes to get breakfast?
Thank you so much for reaching out to us! Yes, there are a lot of options nearby. Newbury Street is just around the corner and there are a number of restaurants and cafes available. We also have breakfast in our restaurant too if you don't want to go out. We look forward to hopefully seeing you soon!
