When booking this reservation a few weeks ago, i booked the 2 nights and then asked for an upgrade to one of the “pure” rooms because of my allergies. Hilton Honors connected me with Sean who was wonderful! He could see we have been hilton honors members for over 25 years! Sean took care of everything in a matter of minutes.

While en route we received a text the room was ready and i received a keyless app. The only problem was parking since you need a key card to go in/out! So we got one when we arrived.

The room was perfectly cleaned and on the 21st floor with a magnificent view of the Charles River!

I always sanitize the remote and doorknobs etc and I have never found such clean room!!! And totally scent free! Kudos to housekeeping!!

My only ongoing complaint is why hilton refuses to put towel bars in the bathroom- it makes sense yo hang a towel after washing your hands rather than putting it next to the sink! Thank for supplying a mat for the shower and one small bar would help getting in/out of shower! Water pressure was wonderful!!

We were on the 21st floor with a magnificent view of the Charles River and fairly close to the elevators but never heard them!

Thank you for a wonderful stay- we will definitely be back’

This was our second visit to this hotel, however, this visit was special. My youngest son, loves this hotel and requested we come back on his birthday. He turned six (6) year on the day we checked in and the front desk provided exceptional service. The young man (lost his name) was attentive, professional and most importantly acknowledged my six year old. He was over the moon and requested that we come back again. We will because my oldest may be attending Berklee next year.

I have stayed here multiple times and look forward to future stays. I have found this Hilton property exterior to be clean, well maintained and attractive. The lobby is large, modern and interesting. There is a full bar as well as a separate restuarant.

Location is convenient for Fenway, Hynes Convention Center, the Pru, Berkley, and so much more!

My rooms have been large well furnished with newer fixtures, comfy bed and bedding. Large tv. Tighter bathroom with a step in tub / shower.

All my interactions with staff (manager / front / housekeeping / maintanance) have been friendly professional and efficent.

Watch the price since it can vary. Read the hotel's website inforamtion on fees when booking and review the cost at that time. I note several reviewers felt they were hit with "hidden charges". All the fees I encountered were clearly and openly listed when I book my reservation.

Parking cost is Boston stupid expensive (and posted on the website). There are several less expensive parking garages within a short walk.

I generally do not drive into Boston to save on parking charges, avoid Boston driving and less hassle. I park at Riverside Station and use the T. Hynes convention Center station is about 3 blocks away.

We were here from 1-4 july 2024. We chose this place dor its location and the Hilton brand. On the first morning of our stay the lady at the front desk refused to send water bottles up citing that they dont send water bottles up but everything else they did. However when i enquired with another gentleman at the front desk i think Mr Josh ( he was the only pleasant one at the front desk we encountered) told us that it was not so and that they did send complimentary water to the rooms all the time!
The next day before we left our room in the noon i specifically removed the privacy tag as i knew otherwise they could not clean the room. But when back the room was not cleaned. When i called and enquired at the front desk she told me this was bcoz we had kept the privacy tag on! When i told her this wasnt so she replied that nothing could be done now as housekeeping was till 5 pm only. She gave her name Joe when I asked. Later when i was down i met her at the front desk she didn’t seem very apologetic and in fact she called me rather impolitely and offered that hotel would pay for me if i was to use the bar as a compensation for the lack of service, of course i refused. The whole thing has left an unpleasant feeling. I wonder if the management is okay with such staff behaviour.

Compared to nearby alternatives this hotel is abysmal. Front desk service, with the exception of a single manager loaned from a different department, has been inadequate. It's probably not the individuals fault, turnover is exceedingly high, and the lack of overall management is palpable. A request to see if a room would be functional for post-op handicapped women for a month plus stay was denied, as they "don't do tours". Promised pricing never arrived despite a substantial booking, and requests to speak with specific managers have repeatedly led to junior staff lying about their positions.

Of 5 rooms experienced, half smelled like mold, which went unaddressed by the desk, a solution was offered only when I independently requested maintenance to deal with the drains. As an asthmatic this hotel literally made my health worse. Should housekeeping have caught this? Yes. Does the issue lay with them? Almost certainly not. This is another case of absent management and underpowered staff.

The food, frankly, should barely be called that. The prices are exorbitant, and the quality rock bottom. Want to spend 20 dollars on a single belgian waffle (that looks frozen) with "maple syrup" when they don't have any maple syrup in the building? Want some protein? Pay an extra 11 dollars for bacon. 25 for a "spinach and tomato eggs Benedict" becomes 36 with bacon, and 42 with a 6 dollar bargain barrel "coffee pot for 1" Want clean cutlery with your meal? That's a separate struggle. Anecdotally, I decided to write this review while in the restaurant. The experience left something to be desired, through no real fault of the staff, who in turn worked to address the issues and did everything that could be expected in their place. I share this not because the incident is all that important, but because the hotels overall shortfalls are so prevalent that they coincidentally occurred while in the process of documenting previous ones.

The bar staff have been the rare highlight, and the restaurant staff have all been friendly, this is again an issue of management, or lack thereof. To be very clear, I'm not in any way insinuating an issue with staff in general. Are there hiccups in different departments? Sure. But every single thing stems from either poor management, under-staffing, under training, or lack of empowerment. What I feel truly bad about is that from everything I've seen, I would expect the hotel to make no effort at improvement other than disciplining employees for management failures.

This hotel is a beautiful example of the mediocrity that plagues the hotel business

I recently stayed for 5 days at the Hilton Boston Back Bay for a work conference. On the third day, housekeeping cleaned the room and some rather costly running clothes were removed from the bathroom along with the towels. I reported it immediately (same day), and followed up multiple times, but no effort was made to follow up or take the loss seriously. It wasn't until checkout on the fifth day that I was told to file a report online, which I have since done and there is still no resolution. Upon calling the hotel today to speak with a manager, my call was sent to voicemail. The customer service, needless to say, has been extremely disappointing and the removal of costly items from my room not taken seriously at all.
On a positive note, the hotel location was very convenient for the conference across the street and the Prudential Center.

The hotel was adequate. What ticked me off, however, was the parking. We had secured a parking place (not the hotel) for $40 bucks a day. The desk clerk who checked me in said that the hotel's self-park was 15 dollars a day - so we moved our car for the lower rate. I get my bill and have been charged $59 per day for self-parking. Misleading in the extreme. Other than that, as I said, the place was adequate. The toilets have an atomic flush, and the showers are difficult to adjust to something less than pounding stream of water. Place was not worth the 230 bucks a night, for sure. Will not ever consider returning there.

As a seasoned traveler and Hilton Honors Gold member, I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton Boston Back Bay. However, my experience left much to be desired, primarily due to the unprofessional front desk staff and the subpar room conditions.

Upon check-in, I expected to be welcomed with the customary warmth and efficiency that I have come to associate with the Hilton brand. Unfortunately, the front desk staff failed to recognize my Gold member status, disregarding the privileges and benefits that should have accompanied my membership. This lack of acknowledgment left me feeling undervalued and disappointed.

Furthermore, the room I was assigned had a notable flaw that greatly affected my stay. To my surprise, there was a large hole in the ceiling, which not only compromised the aesthetics but also raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance standards. The sight of such a glaring issue in an otherwise reputable establishment was disheartening.

Despite bringing the room issue to the attention of the front desk, the response was lackluster at best. The staff seemed indifferent and failed to offer any meaningful resolution or alternative accommodation. Their dismissive attitude towards my concerns further exacerbated the disappointment I felt throughout my stay.

In terms of the hotel's amenities and services, there were a few positives worth mentioning. The hotel's location in the vibrant Back Bay area was convenient for exploring the city, and the common areas were generally clean and well-maintained. However, these factors were overshadowed by the overall negative experience I encountered.

In summary, my stay at the Hilton Boston Back Bay was marred by the unprofessional behavior of the front desk staff and the presence of a significant defect in the room. As a loyal Gold member, I expected a higher level of service and attention to detail. Regrettably, this particular visit fell short of the standards I have come to expect from the Hilton brand.

Would never stay here again. We were told upon arrival AND departure that we would see a credit on our card 3 days later for the $150 security deposit. Never got it. Called them and they said I would NOT be getting it back because we had a $65 parking fee (for an overnight stay which is ridiculous) plus a $45 breakfast ($75-$30 'credit'. $75 for breakfast for 2?! That's insane!) -that doesn't total $150 according to my math. Oh, but there's an additional $30 tax that we don't tell you about, we just hide it in your receipt after you leave! I cannot stand dishonesty or sneaky business practices. They do not deserve anyone's business!!! There are plenty of other places to stay. Thanks for putting a bad taste in our mouth toward Boston!

I recently stayed at the Hilton Back Bay and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The hotel was dealing with a major issue where they couldn’t make room keys for guests, requiring security to escort everyone to their rooms. This wasn’t a short-term glitch—it persisted throughout my entire stay, causing significant inconvenience.

To make matters worse, I arrived at 1am and had to wait over an hour just to check in due to this issue. After a long day of travel, this was the last thing I needed. While the staff promised me 15,000 Hilton Honors points as compensation for the trouble, I never received them, adding to my frustration.

I understand that technical problems can happen, but the lack of a timely resolution and poor follow-through on promises made this stay one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Hilton typically sets a high standard for service, but this location fell far short. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.
