We stayed one night and felt like we belonged at this hotel with an international staff and clientele. The decor is sleek and modern. Our room was sparking clean and comfortable, complete with small refrigerator. The restaurant, Avenue One, has an excellent breakfast buffet. For lunch the clam chowder and the white bean soup are outstanding. The host and servers... More

The location is great for walking, not so much for driving but that is Boston in general. The layout is a bit confusing at first (park below street level, take elevator up to reception, take another elevator to your room) but makes sense after a few times. IT also serves to keep the hotel more secure as a room key... More

Very helpful and courteous staff, it is the people that make the Hyatt great. Very good at extra customer requests. Great location, central to downtown Boston. and all hotels should follow the free wifi Hyatt does.

We stayed with our two children, ages 4 and 1, and needed transportation to and from the airport. We are not from the area and unfamiliar with the public transportation. Guest Service Representative Willie Egleston was absolutely fantastic. He physically walked us to the bus station simply to make sure we knew where we were going. This simply doesnt happen... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Boston. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The service was good and the hotel staff was friendly. I'm picky and write a lot of reviews, I'm giving this a very good, it wasn't amazing, but it truly was very good! The people of Boston were friendly too and we... More

The location of this hotel is wonderful. We live 40 minutes away in New Hampshire and decided to stay the night here. We enjoyed the pool, the bed was confortable and the staff was friendly overall. We did get a non-smoking room which smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Chances are this was just a fluke but still slightly annoying.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
