I booked through a third party thinking I was getting a great value since the Hyatt Regency Boston is a 4 star hotel. However, this room doesn't meet that same expectation. I'm guessing the hotel reserves these lesser quality rooms for discounted third party booking sites. Quite disappointing.

I have to think this hotel was recently "made over". Great rooms and good service in what is now a happening part of Boston. You can be on a business trip and walk to where the big people are (note gender neutral language) or be a tourist and in the midst of all the historical action. Room was modern and...

This hotel was in an accessible location that enabled us to walk around the city easily to explore all the tourist spots. The rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel had a great gym room and heated pool area. It was easy to find casual eating places and shops too. Overall a great holiday experience.

If you go Boston, you must avoid this place ! Never experience such a bad service, this is definitely not in line with what visitors should expect from a 4-stars hotel. Few examples: - call room service for a breakfast a 7am: "no problem will be delivered to your room with 30min" ... breakfast eventually arrived at around 8:30am "sorry...

No airport shuttle. No late check outs even if you're there for large conference. Mini fridge in room didn't work. No microwave in room. Thermostat in room finicky, room very slow to cool down. Bathroom very nice. Room large and clean.

I can assure you that this is not Hyatt standard and we are addressing this internally to ensure that it does not happen again. Excellent stay only issue is sofa bed old and very uncomfortable. Other than that staff, location and food was excellent. We would stay again but would pay extra, unfortunately for another room. The junior suite was perfect for 3 family members, but sofa bed not suitable for sleeping.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
