The Lenox is truly an exceptional hotel. We have travelled extensively in the U.S., Europe and Japan. We have never had an overall better hotel experience. When we travel, we are not looking for the "resort" experience. We want an exceptional room, fine dining and first-class service. On all three of these parameters, The Lenox delivers. The staff go above and beyond. The answer is always "yes." The atmosphere at the hotel is grand elegance. It has a genuine old-time charm that conjures great stays in the days of wonderful classic hotels. We luxuriated in a corner suite room with a real wood fireplace - the only hotel in Boston with this yesteryear comfort. The three dining rooms are also heritage experiences. We look forward to coming "home" to The Lenox.
We always love staying here. The location is great - walkable to so much in Boston. and the rooms are always great too - clean, spacious, beds very comfortable - all really well done. But the reason I'm writing another review is because the people are always so amazingly nice and helpful - they're genuine. It's always noticeable and always makes the visit so much better - thank you!
What an exceptional stay in Back Bay. As others have said, the location is hard to beat, but it is the staff that shines. A few days ahead of our arrival, one of the concierges (Beverly) reached out to me via email to see if she could help with anything. As we had a special weekend planned for my wife's birthday, I took her up on the offer. She helped arrange flowers to our room, and she and the rest of the staff made sure everything was perfect for our stay. This is an old hotel and we had a room with a fireplace. They offer fire lighting during your stay, and the staff comes to your room, and lights a nice little fire for you, restocks it as needed, etc... We also purchased the "hot cocoa and smores" package which was a fun add on. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was great and fairly priced, fresh hot coffee available in the lobby, and the valet, bell staff and front desk were all so nice. One of the nicest hotel stays we've had, highly recommended…
I stayed at the Lenox hotel many years ago and thought to give it another try this holiday weekend. Everything was excellent! From the reception staff who gifted my children stuffed animals, to the ultra quick room service, nothing was a fuss for them. We had a room with a fireplace which was an added treat. Highly recommend!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Went out of their way to accommodate. We forgot a phone charger and they delivered one. They lit our fireplace. They had people to help with luggage and valet. The room service staff was very friendly and helpful. Honestly, no complaints. We stayed in the room with 2 Queen beds and a fireplace. It was a big, clean room with 2 windows, fridge, desk, chairs, robes, big mirror, shampoo and soaps were provided Will definitely go again. Walking distance to Copley, many restaurants and shops, Dunkin and Starbucks.
Great location in the Back Bay neighborhood with a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Newbury Street. Very very clean with friendly and welcoming staff. Complimentary coffee, tea, and nitro cold brew on tap. There is also a bar/restaurant, although my family chose to eat at other restaurants around Boston. Definitely worth the money, highly recommend for families, couples, or individuals looking to stay in the heart of Boston!
Beware, they charge you twice for reservations, Reservation of 4 people, the four of us registered, with an Agency Bonus, and after a month and a half, they charge us for the reservation on the Visa Card. They say that the reservation is in my wife's name (the 4 people appear on the voucher), and that my wife's reservation did not go, and instead they charge me. Reported to the police, and in the hands of lawyers. IT IS NOT A TRUSTED HOTEL. Enric Carmona
We stayed three nights as part of a family holiday from Sydney Australia. The Lenox was an outstanding Hotel in a great location very close to dozens of restaurants cafes shops and still close to Boston Common and Fenway Park. The staff at this Hotel are absolutely first class and made us feel special from the time we walked in the door - a particular shoutout to Anthony from reception who was excellent. This Hotel is beautiful at this time of year with the Christmas decorations and we couldn’t have been happy with every aspect of our visit. Highly recommended.
Feels like Europe here, the lobby was beautifully appointed and decorated for Christmas plus there was always a cozy fire. Well located, well appointed and staffed by the friendliest and most helpful people you could hope for plus two nice restaurants to choose from. We were so comfortable that we chose not to go out one night just so we could enjoy our stay. Highly recommend!
This was our first stay at the Lenox. The hotel has a lot of character and great ambience. Everyone we encountered during out stay was friendly and helpful. We chose a superior king room. We were on the 9th floor. The room was excellent. The house keeping staff did a great job each day. My only suggestion regarding the room is a bit more space for clothing would be helpful. The closet was good size. However, there was not a lot of drawer space elsewhere. Our visit was for five days. We had to be bit creative when unpacking. There are three restaurants on the property. We only had an opportunity to eat at Solas Irish Pub. The place was busy on a Sunday night. We had a 20-30 minute wait. It went by quickly as we had a drink at the bar. Both of our meals were very good. Coffee and tea in the hotel lobby each morning is a nice touch as well. The hotel is also close to the train - the T. Easy to get wherever you need to go. We drove to Boston but never needed our car during the stay. A few nice restaurants within walking distance.…
