Impressively presented with great staff, food and amenities. The Club lounge experience was as good as any other high end hotel chain. The large bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in, with high quality features, especially, the mattress topper.
Top to bottom excellent. Good location downtown. Easy access to airport, north end, seaport, common, faniel hall etc Service (highlight of our trip), room (the espresso machine is awesome), food (restaurant and in-room), bar (the best-craft cocktails!), restaurant. Everything!
The Langham did a tremendous job of repurposing the former hotel and Boston Federal Reserve building. The room decor along with every space throughout the entire building and restaurants were amazing! The room, service, staff, food, and location were all superb! It was a delight to stay here and I look forward to returning.
We had an excellent two-day stay at the Langham and we will now make this hotel our base when visiting the city. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff, gorgeous room, great in-room dining, and pet friendly as a bonus.
My visit to the Langham Hotel Boston was excellent and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I will recommend the hotel to friends and family so they can enjoy a great experience as well. I do plan on returning to the Langham Boston in the future to relax and indulge in fun and enjoy your some quality time with love ones.
What a wonderful change! I have stayed at the Boston Lanham over many years for work. When I last reviewed it, pre-COVID, it was definitley suffering from 'faded elegance'. While it had a 'charm of its own' it defintley was showing its age... In the intervening couple of years when COVID prevented me from travelling to Boston there has been a dramatic transformation. The rooms are now really nicely decorated, the bathrooms were excellent and the bedding super comfortable. The only concern I have is that the tea and coffee makers are contained in a storage area that is hard to get into - and the lid of the kettle was not really secure. The main entarnce area had been revamped before COVID - but the salon area had been revamped into bar area that had a definite 'working Boston' local vibe rather than the 'international hotel anywhere in the world' fell it used to have. For me - the new set-up felt much more fun and vibrant. A more varied bar menu might haev been nice. The main reason for writing this - however - was that if you stayed at the 'old' Langham and decided that it was past its best - revisit the 'new' Langham. Some of the same great staff members - especially the reception staff.. but a much better experience in what are now very comfortable rooms. This hotel is back to deserving being part of the Langham brand. Well done on making this investment - there are still too few hotels in central Boston and so I am sure that the investment will be recouped many times over. Ian H St Albans UK…
Coming from the four seasons one Dalton, this felt like a massive downgrade. First red flag was the receptionist offering bottled water at check in (shouldn’t there be plenty of water in your room?). Then you walk into the room (with its CO Bigelow products) and you wonder if this is really the langham or has the brand fallen this far. This isn’t even remotely on the same tier as the FS. Rooms are tiny. Amenities are glorified Marriott level. I wish I didn’t move hotel. This is so much worse (or the same price level) that it’s actually kinda comical how bad the value prop is.
The staff at the Langham Boston are courteous and professional; highly recommend. My family thought the hotel was beautiful. The staff were helpful, friendly, and professional. The Langham Executive Lounge, facilities and staff, was world class.
It’s a classy, elegant hotel with super staff. The bar is also lovely for a drink. Room service was delicious. A short but wonderful stay. The pool was closed sadly when I visited so can’t comment on the facilities but will absolutely be back next time I’m in Boston.
We booked two rooms for our family of four using American Express points. A fantastic choice. The hotel is brilliantly adapted from its former use as the Federal Reserve of Boston. Beautifully decorated for the holidays and loaded with art, much of it created locally. A warm welcome at the front desk was followed by a thorough explanation of the extensive benefits associated with the Amex package. Both rooms were pristine and comfortable. Excellent coffee service provided in the room. Turndown service with slippers placed near the bed and water on the nightstand was a nice touch. We had breakfast at Grana (a stunningly beautiful space) twice and drinks at The Fed. Food service and cocktails were all of a high standard. Try the duck wings at the Fed. I used the gym one morning - well-equipped and super clean. The pool looked inviting. The Langham Club on the 8th floor was terrific. Excellent selection of beer wine liquors and soft drinks. We used the cappuccino machine repeatedly. Breakfast at the club on Wednesday morning was quite filling. It's one thing to have a beautiful facility - it's another thing to have a top notch staff - the Langham has both. Every team member we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. The Langham has a welcoming vibe largely due to the dedication and attitude of the staff members. The hotel's location is super convenient. The NE Aquarium, Tea Party Museum, Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market are all within easy walking distance. The North End was a touch farther but still walkable. There are many good restaurants and pubs in the immediate vicinity. My family enjoys "escape rooms." Some of the best in the world are a 10 minute walk from the hotel - Boxaroo on Court Street. We had a blast. The T State station on the MBTA is steps away from the hotel - the system is easy to navigate. I don't have much experience with Boston hotels - I can't imagine they get much better than the Langham.…
