Decided to get away for a night and chose The INN. Just such a cozy, warm place to be and I love it. Been here before and was just as happy to come again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a different type of hotel stay that offers a boutique feeling.
College visit with son, so only stayed overnight, but this was a return visit. The junior suite was perfect, with the separate bedroom and large air mattress in the LR. The room is spacious and clean and well decorated, and the bed was great. Will definitely return if we have the chance.
The Inn stands out for serenity, bright and spacious suites, quietly efficient management and a first-rate location on a peaceful street lined with brownstones. It’s walking distance from the MFA, the Gardner Museum and plenty of inviting restaurants. Sliding doors between the sleeping and living areas are a boon to pairs who keep different hours. On our third stay at the Inn, we noticed it had faded a bit since our first visit half a dozen years ago. But you can’t beat the ratio of comfort and charm per dollar.
Stayed at The Inn for a few nights in July 2018. The place is older, but very clean. Located around the corner from Huntington Ave, withing walking distance to Massachusetes Ave (leads directly to Cambridge and Harvard), Museum of Fine Arts, Boston POPs, Copley Square, Beacon Hill, and other attractions. There’s no traditional reception desk. Upon making a reservation or upon arrival guests obtain a code that they have to punch in in order to gain access into the building and inti their room. There’s a reception window located in the lower level. Usually, there’s one or two people there - but somehow they manage to check in and out their guests, answer phone calls, answer guests’ questions about directions and local attractions and are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel provides limited housekeeping (the room is cleaned if the guests stay for 7 days or longer, otherwise - only upon request). We didn’t have any requests except for our garbage cans to be emptied once - not only they emptied our garbage cans, but also refilled toiletries and toilet paper, and brought fresh towels. It was very nice! The hotel has a small room where they serve breakfast: coffee, bottled juice, yogurt, fruits, single serve cereals, granola bars, etc. - however, there’s only one table and limited seating, so it’s only useful for grab and go rather than a sit diwn breakfast, but still a nice option. Our room had a small kitchenette complete with a fridge. The lower level has an excercise room. The hotel is located in a pleasant residential neighborhood, with Seven-Eleven across the street and a breakfast place around the corner.…
I liked the Inn a lot, it's a great location for access to great restaurants, shops and coffee and the 7-11 across the street was handy too. The room was spacious and stylish and you could definitely self-cater quite comfortably with a good kitchen. There is a really good supermarket give minutes walk away for all that kind of stuff. It did take me a little bit of time to work out the shower, not the first time that has happened I hasten to add, but once understood, it was fine. As it is in a residential area, albeit a block back from the edge of the CBD, there can be a bit of street noise, with horns etc but it certainly wasn't an inconvenience. One little thing was that gaining access to the building wasn't entirely straightforward. The codes I had worked fine initially, but then, after a day, they didn't work for the front door. I am happy to acknowledge being technologically challenged from time to time, but it just wasn't working. The staff were great at getting me in, but it was just a little frustrating, particularly as I could use the same code to access my room. It's only a small thing, but I did wonder whether everything would be as smooth should you be arriving later in the evening. All up, I would definitely consider staying at The Inn again in what was a most stylish room, in a great location in Boston.…
We arrived and the room was dirty along with only 2 pieces of furniture a couch and a chair not at all what was described in the pictures and website. Both pieces of furniture were dirty and the chair was ripped with the stuffing coming out. The front office assistant(very nice) came and covered the couch with a sheet & chair with a blanket so that we could sit on it. The carpet and floor were filthy and stained. When addressing our issues with the general manager Tom, he said I was insulting & my complaints weren’t valid and he wouldn’t refund our stay or furnish the room according to the website descriptions. I am honestly posting our experience to help others. We will never stay here again regardless of the great location.
Our first visit to Boston and we chose the Back Bay area. Instead of a hotel we wanted something with kitchen facilities and separate bedroom. The Inn at St. Botolph was perfect! Located in a brownstone building, it is close to bus and T routes, restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff were very welcoming and happy to answer our questions. Our apartment was very clean, and decorated in a contemporary style. Breakfast is provided each morning too. We are extremely glad we chose The Inn at St. Botolph!
Perfect location, nice rooms, lots of breakfast options, and most importantly—great staff!! Staff members were SO friendly and helpful not only when we were there, but before we even arrived. Great communication. Would stay here every time I came to Boston! Price is better than hotels in the city as well, and these are better rooms as they’re more like small apartments.
The location was perfect, stayed 2 nights so comfortable, great space, kitchen with refrigerator, stove, dishes, everything you need. Living area with desk for work, , beautiful bedroom with sliding doors, great mattress. Shower perfect for two. Accessible to Prudential, Copley Square, restaurants, bars and good for walking, can't wait to book again!!
We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't fault the hotel and service. We had a lovely room with kitchnette and separate living area. The breakfast was continental style with a good choice. Tom was very friendly and helpful and saved my bracelet for me that had left in the safe, for us to collect before we flew home. The safe was a bit too high up so we couldn't see it to it. The location is good.
