Felt like i was staying in an old apartment building with a studio bedroom -- it's a good place to just sleep but not if you're spending time in the room. The location was good and easy to walk to transportation.

Glad you made the most of our location, Kurt! Sorry you weren't as impressed with your room, though. Our units are indeed closer to apartments than a regular hotel, so I understand if you were expecting something else. Next time, I'd encourage you to take advantage of the kitchenette and other amenities you won't find elsewhere. Your feedback means a... More

The hotel had a good location, very helpful staff and very nice apartments. The suggested valet parking service is about 2 short blocks away from the main building (which is not necessarily the building with your apartment) and cost $26/24 hours. The parking service was very responsive to requests to access the car. The hotel doesn't have a designated unloading... More

My wife and I stayed at the Copley House a couple of weeks back, and would definitely stay again. Pros: -Its within esay walking distance of Fenway, Boston Common and Boylston. And a block over from the subway stop if you need to get further north. -Cost per night was cheap in comparison to most other hotels. -Parking, though not... More

We stayed 3 nights in one of the apartments making up Copley House. Ours was apartment 201 in the basement of 171 St Botolph Street in Boston Back Bay. Copley House are nice row houses where the rooms are transferred into small studios. We had a small studio with bedroom, bathroom and a small kitchen, so called "superior studio". Our studio was located on the ground floor, which was nice. The room of our children was located in the basement and they had a bad view; also the room... More

We had a great stay at the Copley House for a baseball weekend away! For an option in a very expensive city, one could do a lot worse than Copley House! We had a premium apartment. Nothing premium about it. It is functional, and that's all it is. No love was lost in the decoration. Nor in the maintenance. It disturbs me that the pictures on the websites don't give a correct image (We where lodged in a 2nd building down the street) It was Ok, but overstated and overpriced.

Sorry your apartment wasn't what you expected, Dimitris, although I'm surprised you found the difference so alarming -- the pictures on our website do indeed depict our actual units, and while each individual room might not be represented, the pictures should be able to reflect the overall experience. Still, it does sound like your apartment could have been more comfortable,... More

The location/building was beautiful. It satisfied our need; however, was slightly disappointed in the apartment. Basement apartment, cool but needed to be fixed. Heat floor covers in bedroom NOT SECURED AT ALL and the toilet clogged easily. It serve the purpose of sleeping but wish it were nicer in appearance.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
