The hotel is good located, there is a subway station close by and a $5 Airport Shuttle to the 10-15 min far away Logan Airport. The rooms are clean and quite big. The breakfast is also good. There is a small laundry in the basement where you can wash your stuff for a good price. A big compliment to Ana and Alejandra from the Reception Desk, they are very friendly and helpful. Thumbs Up!

When I checked in, the man who was assisting us behind the desk was wearing his mask as a chin guard. With the pandemic going on, this is unacceptable. Makes you wonder how serious it’s taken there and if it’s actually clean. Keys were not activated upon getting to room and had to go all the way back to reception with my luggage to get it re-activated. I am a platinum member and this location simply needs to DO BETTER. Some people don’t have the option but to travel during a pandemic and this is the first hotel that hasn’t eased my concerns. Other than that, the rooms were fine. Will not return.

I will preface this by saying that I never stayed at this hotel and will not comment on the room, environment, or actual location. This review is purely about "doing the right thing" or NOT doing the right thing in my opinion. I had reserved a room at this hotel last May. Upon learning there was a location closer to Foxborough and Gillette Stadium, I booked a different hotel, and called to cancel my room at this one. I CALLED, instead of cancelling online, which I will surely never do again. The person I spoke to told me it was all set. I never knew I needed to ask for their name or any other details. Fast forward to this past week, and I see a charge for over 400.00 on my Credit card. I call the hotel about it and they tell me it was a NO SHOW charge. I also got no email saying that I still had an upcoming reservation in the days prior to my "supposed arrival" and I know I had put my email int he system when I booked the room. So, I have no proof of my cancellation request, other than the person I spoke to on the phone months ago who I never asked for their name. But out of all the money this Hotel receives on a regular basis, you would think they would care more about their Customer service, and refunding my 400 dollars. Who in the world would not cancel a 400 dollar Hotel stay if they knew they weren't coming? Not much I can do according to the "Manager", but I can sure tell people to beware. This hotel clearly cares more about their bottom dollar than doing "the right thing" I work in Customer service, and this is not how you try to do right by the customer. Beware!

Save yourself time and book another hotel. Was checked into a floor that was under construction after 10 PM as an Elite member. The front desk staff was too busy watching TV in the Lobby to be able to figure out what to do.

Was unable to checkin to a room, got a migraine from the strong fumes from painting and being sent to the wrong floor multiple times. Still have yet to be contacted or refunded... they then charged me for 2 nights worth of parking after not providing me with a room. Goes to show how detail oriented this hotel is .....

The hotel is well located, beside a retail park with a choice of a restaurants and a supermarket. It's also a ten minute walk from Andrew station on the T Red Line, which is handy for a connection to Logan Airport via South Station, as well as for getting into Downtown Boston.

The room was of a good size, with a coffee maker, microwave and good size fridge provided in the room. Pods are provided for the coffee maker. These, as well as bottled water were replaced daily.

There is a reasonable choice for breakfast - including hot and cold options.

The hotel has a luggage room and were happy to hold on to bags for a few hours on check-out.

There was an unpleasant smell out on the corridor, which did not seem to dissipate for the duration of my stay. Quite a number of guests were putting garbage, including uneaten food, out into the corridor, and the fact that this was not being removed promptly probably didn't help.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of September for 3 nights on a Sat/Sun/Mon night for $801.
It’s located in south Boston but chose it due to the downtown hotels being $$$! As Boston’s road system is pretty complex and the Satnav losing connection due to the tunnels, we decided to use the subway system to travel downtown.
The hotel is located just a safe 10 minute walk to Andrew subway station which is approximately 4 stops to the Downtown Crossing on the Red line (20 mins) and $2.40 per ride so it’s way cheaper than parking in the city.
The hotel itself is standard HIE as you’d expect. Modern, clean with buffet breakfast inc but parking is $20 per day. The room had a safe, hairdryer, iron, as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash, but no moisturiser.
It’s also within a 5 min walk to an open shopping centre featuring TJ Max, Macy’s, Old Navy etc, along with an Olive Garden, Applebys and Wahlburger.

We stayed one night and used the Park and Fly service. The room was satisfactory for a short stay and the location allowed us to grab a quick dinner nearby so we could get to bed early for an early flight. However, upon check in, despite my showing them my confirmation, the first clerk could not locate my reservation and a second person had to assist. When we returned to Logan, i called for shuttle pick up and was told I could only call when our bags were in hand. Once ready, I was told to expect the shuttle in 15 minutes. After about 40 minutes i called back and was told, "the tunnel is closed and there is traffic". Not sure why I wasn't given this information when i first called as we waited well over an hour for our ride. I'd choose a different hotel for our next stay.

Disappointing stay. We booked a deluxe king room and I requested at check in to have our sofa bed set up for sleeping and the manager refused and said they don’t do that so we have to pull the bed ourselves.
After paying over $300 a night to drop our daughter to college, you would expect at least some minimal service. Shower was also broken. Also, housekeeping on on request so make sure to ask. If not you will be stuck with old towels and a dirty room.
I would instead stay at the Marriott next door next time.

All hotels in the Boston area was pricing near $300/night during June/July 2024. I used a combination of points and purchase points to stay one short night on a layover between flights.
We arrived at 11:30pm and the main door was locked so I pressed the buzzer. An older gentleman rolled out in a scooter behind the front desk and let us in. Let's say that this clerk was not unfriendly but he was a little rough around the edges.
I wasn't expecting a lot from a Holiday Inn Express but I was actually pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size with a smaller than average bathroom. Beds were huge and comfortable and clean. There was a nice sized TV and after spending 3 weeks in Spain where all stations are in Spanish, any US English channel was a welcome break. Some issues or improvements I think that could have made our stay better was that the toilet was clogged and we could not even get it to flush properly. They also provide two bottles of water in the room but it is about 4 ounces and only enough to wet your mouth. When I went down to the reception to purchase water, the clerk sold me two small simple bottles of water for $3 each! Mind you these were not any fancy glass bottled water but the cheapest supermarket brand water for such a ridiculous price. Next time make sure your bring your own.

Dear raysiconia, Thank you for selecting our Holiday Inn Express Boston while visiting Boston and for providing feedback about your experience. It's a pleasure having you as our guest. I am truly sorry you did not experience an exemplary stay due to your check-in experience and the clogged toilet. This is certainly below our usual high standard of service. Please be certain that I have noted and forwarded your feedback for the management to improve. In the middle of your experience, I am glad our room's cleanliness and comfort were still appreciated. Please grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again. Best Regards, Ben W. Case Manager IHG Hotels and Resorts Service
