Most of the inn was just as you would want it. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a suite with a great view of the Charleston Bridge. Two factors keep this from getting the best rating. First, the couch and chair in the living area of the suite are just not comfortable to sit in. Second, the temperature did not regulate well. In particular, the bathroom did not heat up well, so it was chilly coming out of the shower. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel is simple but surprisingly good.
I've had the privilege to travel the world, and the opportunity to experience a wide range of accommodations, from low cost to 5 star. No matter where you stay, its the people and the property condition, in that order, that make the stay. Any reliable review should allow that there is always something that could be done better. This hotel is 5 years old, but appears brand new in every respect, in public areas and most notably inside the room itself. A testament to the housekeeping staff and the fine work they do that no one else cares to in the United States, (unless you have no choice or are from another country!) Reception staff are all engaging, positive and helpful, to a fault. Case in point. My stay was for my 30th wedding anniversary. I planned everything, or so I thought. I set up a food and beverage celebration in my room fro my wife. Much to my chagrin, I forgot the champagne in the car parked 1/2 mile away. Without asking, Mostafa Agha, in reception, after learning of the crisis, with no liquor store in sight, actually went to the bar inventory and delivered a bottle of champagne on ice to my room compliments of the house!!! I was almost speechless to tears! Granted the hotel is expensive, and the cost of the champagne could be absorbed - but it's a luxury hotel in the heart of Boston, a major city, and its rates are consistent with similar hotels. So what made this a five star hotel? The people and the commitment they have to ensure every guest experience is the best possible, as was mine. Rest assured yours will be as well!!!…
Our stay at the Courtyard Marriot Downtown/North Station could not have been more amazing. We selected this hotel because of proximity to our wedding venue and now that we know what it’s like we’ll be staying there whenever possible and recommending it to anyone staying in the area. What a fantastic experience! Check-in was partially automated and allowed us to determine and log in advance our housekeeping preferences. The physical check-in process was a breeze and staff was welcoming and friendly- it felt like coming home. Rooms were immaculate, views incredible, and bathrooms were pristine and had a lot of natural light if we wanted it - great for makeup! Throughout our stay EVERY staff member with whom we interacted treated us like family. (We’re coming back to see you, Tony!) I just can’t say enough good things, and this is just the live-experience portion of the review. Multiply my sentiments by 10 because all of our guests reported the same! In regards to the planning process before our stay officially began, Eve was beyond exceptional; she is a true asset to Marriott and was a driving force behind the perfection that was our wedding day. She accommodated requests with enthusiasm and thought of things that we couldn’t have possibly during the flurry of activity we faced pulling logistics together. While she was unable to be there for the actual day, she made sure that Carly covered anything we might need and more. I’ve never experienced this level of customer service, and it continued even after our stay when one of our guests left some personal items behind. “Wow!” is really all there is to say. We travel frequently and have stayed at many hotels since the Covid landscape finally permitted it; everything else pales in comparison. In times where staffing is challenging and above-and-beyond isn’t even a passing thought let alone expectation, Eve delivered, and then some.…
We really enjoyed our stay at this Marriot. Sabata went above and beyond to make sure our stay and first visit to Boston was a great one! The room was very clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the Zakim bridge. This hotel is conveniently located near the train station, TD Garden, and the old north end. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
My review is 100% in response to the incredibly helpful woman who was at the front desk on the night of January 7, Sareena. She went above and beyond when a situation arose involving the local police responding to an incident I had. She certainly deserves extreme recognition for helping me through the process.
Located less than a block from North Station , Very walkable. Location . We were able to visit all the Italian North end by foot. Not far from Quincy Market either . Short Uber ride to the Aquarium. Great shower in bathroom . Small refrigerator, coffee maker but no microwave . The children loved it .
Well our 2 day stay at the Marriott was fantastic! The room was spectacular and the amenities superb. But my overall experience was such a positive one mainly due to Sabata, she helped accommodate myself and my wife and our 4 year old. She was kind and took the time to listen and always tried, if she could, to help us. When my booking was incorrect, my mistake, she was compassionate and empathetic and moved us to a similar room to the one I had hoped for. Then when I forgot my satchel in the safe she quickly and effectively resolved the issue and I was able to get my belongings safe. Ryan the director of engering
We stayed over for the weekend and a Celtics game. The location is ideal for the Celtics game because it is right across the street. But what made the trip great is Tony at the front desk. He is the nicest guy and really goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and to help!
I chose this hotel because I love Marriot Hotels & it was close to the TD Stadium where we had tickets to see Bocelli. My friend is handicapped & in a wheelchair and I had asked for a handicap room for her & a room near her for me to help her. They arranged a room for me next to her with a connecting door. That was so helpful. Furthermore, the staff were helpful; the place was clean; and it was an easy walk to TD Stadium.
Great hotel, great location to TD Center for a concert we attended. Staff was awesome! Valet parking was easy to use. Clean rooms, quiet. Looking forward to staying there on our next trip!! Thanks again.
