We do an overnight in Boston every now and then and usually hit the North End, etc. When we saw the Green Turtle online, it piqued our interest since it was so different from your run-of-the-mill hotels. We stayed two nights on a weekend on...More
I write MANY Trip Advisor reviews - as I grew up in, am in, teach in and for the industry, and now am pursuing new professional directions advising / consulting for hotels, B&B's in the industry, and also looking internationally for our own new B&B...More
The best way to experience Boston’s charms is on the harbour. And the best way to see the harbour is at the Green Turtle floating bed and breakfast. Choose from a floating houseboat - think Sleepless in Seattle - or from one of two power...More
It's $25 a day to park at the marina and a couple minutes walk to your yacht or houseboat. We were lucky to have perfect weather to enjoy the back deck of the boat. Wifi did not work with iPhone or iPad and Jon said...More
Wonderful and unique stay in Green Turtle III, so much fun to stay on the water. Very gracious hosts. Clean and comfortable even in cool and wet weather. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchenette. Delicious breakfasts. A great option for a Boston visit.

I think you will definitely find the Green Turtle suitable for 14 days in September 2017. We are in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard. The USS Constitution "Old Ironsides" is a short walk away as well as part of the Freedom trail. As previously mentioned the ferry is on pier 3 and we are on pier 8. There is also a free shuttle bus at the end of our street that takes you to North Station(less than a mile) which is a stop on our transportation system and brings you very close to the North End "Little Italy".
After you are out sightseeing for the day, you can enjoy your evening watching the harbor traffic while sitting on your comfy chairs on the dock! There are numerous dining choices here in the Navy Yard.
We hope to see you in September of 2017
Karen and Jon

There is parking right at the marina. The owner will meet you in the lot with a little cart for your luggage and take you to the B&B. You need a keyfob to get into the dock area. Very safe. You will get your own keyfob with your keys so you can come and go during your stay. I believe the lot parking was $20 for 24 hours.
