Outstanding location right in the historic part of Boston! The hotel staff and the service were very efficient, professional and personalized. All the staff did their best and offered outstanding service. Our car and our luggage was taken as soon as we pulled up to the front door, and the same thing happened when we left! Hotel had a very...

Stayed here in June 2016 for 2 nights with my 11 year old daughter. Perfect location. We took the subway and had zero need for a car the entire trip. The location is everything, but the customer service was fantastic. They helped us with directions, got us on our way with complimentary bicycles and allowed us to check in very...

Thank you for visiting us Julie D. We were honored to host you and your daughter while visiting Boston. It was great to hear that our renovations didn't impact your stay, but we are so very excited to share that our lobby enhancement is complete, along with our meeting rooms. We do hope both of you can come back soon...

Let me first start off by saying this had potential to be one of the best hotel stays for me. The front desk was incredible - very accommodating. The bathroom blew me away ... deep soaking tub AND a glass shower, perfect for our Valentine's Day getaway. Unfortunately a few things fell really short. I splurged and opted for the...

This hotel was perfectly located for our visits to the North End and Boston Common. T stop close by, as well as many shops, conveniences (like Starbucks on the corner). The room was large by hotel standards. Loved the "Restoration Hardware" decor. The staff sincerely wanted to make you happy. Looking forward to a return in May....hope their new restaurant...

Our room was gorgeous -very spacious with modern decor- and it had great city views. The shower was also amazing and were able to bring our dog last minute, which was awesome. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I only have positive things to say!

Nice new hotel, very convenient to downtown and Faneuil Hall. My wife and daughter stayed, and went shopping downtown, dinner near Faneuil hall. It was a nice little get-away. They love the new modern style inside the old building with some interesting architectural detail outside.

My husband and I had a spectacular weekend at the Ames. We spent some time researching our hotel and room options in downtown Boston. We originally booked a corner king room, however when we arrived we were disappointed to hear that our room was unavailable due to renovations. We ended up with a standard king room. The room was large with...

Good location on edge of tourist district within the Financial District. Better option than other larger chain hotels. Nice hotel, great design. They need to open up breakfast to all guests like many Curio Hotels provide. The train runs under the hotel, ask for a upper floor room.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
