We stayed here with our daughter and her family and it was really an experience to stay in an old Victorian Brownstone in the Back Bay Area. Our grandkids thought the old elevator was fascinating. It reminded them of the one in the Titanic. We stayed in the Penthouse which had huge windows and a great view. The Master bedroom... More

We stayed in apartment 1F, ground floor front apartment in September 2016. We thought that with it being so close to the main front door we would hear all the comings and goings, but that wasn’t the case. We did however have a lot of noise from the apartment above, music, voices etc, but in the same vain, they could... More

The 8 of us girls stayed at 113 Beacon Penthouse for 4 days. Perfect location, next to Common park, walking to shopping center, restaurants on Newbury. Walking distance to China Town. One negative is the elevator is very old and sometimes it doesn't work. My friend had to drag her luggage all the way up to the top floor (6th... More

We stayed here over a weekend. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door. The Penthouse has large windows with great views. Overall the apartment is fairly spacious and bright. The kitchen and pantry are well appointed with glassware, plates, wine glasses, etc. There are three bedrooms in the second level one is small but comfortable enough. This... More

Really good location and close to most main attractions in boston. Flat was ideal for our two kids and ourselves and a lot better than sharing a hotel room. Flat was compact with two small bedrooms, small kitchen living room and toilet. All rooms were clean and comfortable. We would use this again if staying in boston

We stayed here in July 2015. Located directly beneath the Penthouse, this apartment is noisy. There is no insulation between the floors and we could hear every footstep that was taken in the penthouse overhead, along with conversation. Plus there was a pulsating buzz (likely caused by outside air conditioner compressors), that resonated through the bed, making sleep very difficult!... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
