This hotel has everything that a modern hotel chain has, but is brimming with creativity and vibrancy. We loved that every room had an artwork by a local artist -- what a lovely way to support the arts! The beds were comfortable, the room was CLEAN, and the breakfast (included!) was maybe the best hotel breakfast we've ever had. We'll definitely stay here again when in the area.

I booked a room at the Studio Allston Hotel for a one night stay, initially because the rate was good and they have onsite free parking. It turns out this place is a great spot!! Right when you enter the lobby, you realize that this is no ordinary hotel: it is a feast for the eyes! My room was also pleasantly appointed with eye candy--even the ironing board was interesting to look at (I certainly didn't use it)!

The terrific art aside, the room was very comfortable, as well. The shower had great water pressure, the drapes blocked the light out almost completely, and the wifi was fast.

I could not write this review without mentioning the fantastic staff. I had thought that I left my cellphone in an Uber the night before, and Tushar & Kristina (with a "K") were super-nice and very helpful, as I tried to get it sorted. Thank you so much!

Overall, I was very happy with my stay at the Studio Allston. I would definitely stay again and recommend.

Had the best weekend staying at Studio Allston! The hotel is trendy and modern with chic art throughout the lobby and rooms, making it the perfect spot for our girls weekend. Our room had a beautiful view of the Charles River, and the location made it easy to get to multiple places in Boston we wanted to check out. From the moment we arrived, Kristina at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and made sure we were completely satisfied down to every detail. The entire staff at Studio Allston was a delight to work with and provided top notch service with whatever we needed. We ate in the restaurant downstairs, Casa Cana, for lunch and breakfast as well. The food was fantastic- the perfect blend of Latin food mixed with more typical options for any picky eaters. The waitstaff was pleasant and nice and it was definitely favorable to the usual pub/sports bar vibe you get in most restaurant hotels. Would love to get back there to eat and also stay at Studio Allston next time I am back in Boston!

This hotel is not what we anticipated based on the descriptions. As long as you have the right expectations, you will have a better stay.
The positives: The beds are comfortable and the linens are nice. The staff was friendly and there is a pretty courtyard in the hotel restaurant.
The negatives: This is a renovated hotel, so the “bones” are that of an older property. It has an odd odor, low ceilings, narrow corridors, worn carpet, and small rooms/bathrooms. There is no in-room coffee and no where to purchase bottled water in the hotel.
This hotel doesn’t provide wash cloths, so if that’s something you are accustomed to, you may want to bring your own.
Other reviews have complimented the free parking, however, there is a $25 per day facilities fee among the many taxes and fees.

Dear Hadassah F, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We truly value your feedback and I've shared your remarks with our hotel team for immediate action. Please accept my sincere apologies for any negative impressions you may have gotten. The global crisis has had an disastrous impact on the hospitality industry as a whole. Staffing shortages, supply chain disruptions, and a significant decline travel have made things very challenging for teams of all sizes. Studio Allston Hotel has embraced the new norms. We are consistently delivering an experience that is genuine and is a far superior value than our branded competitors. The recent renovation to our building brought an air freshness with top of the line amenities, aesthetics, comforts, and technologies. Everything a traveler needs at the best prices. Parking is complimentary for all guests. Our Amenity fee encompasses our expansive inclusive breakfast with coffee service, streaming quality Wi-Fi(video conferencing, Gaming etc.) access to an elite training facility and much more. Our mission to offer a sustainable earth-focused experience, which prohibits us from offering or selling single-use plastic water bottles but we do offer fresh infused water at our Reception 24/7 and have Boxed Water available upon request for free. Wash cloths are staged in all of our guestrooms along with hand towels and bath towels. We will review your rooms terry inventory to see why you did not have wash cloths in you room. Again, thank you. We sincerely value your patronage and hope that you allow us the opportunity to be of service again in the future. Please reach out to me directly when planning your next visit to Boston. I am confident we can earn the missing two stars on your next visit. Studio Allston to the rescue! I had booked 2 nights at a big brand hotel for a business trip and my room was so subpar and noisy, I decided I could not stay there a 2nd night. I quickly looked online for another hotel but most everything was now $400-$500 per night. Then I saw Studio Allston. It looked really nice online but the rate was so reasonable, I thought something must be wrong with it or maybe it was haunted. I decided to take a chance and I was blown away. The staff greeting was so warm and welcoming. They made sure I knew where to find everything I needed that night and for breakfast in the AM. They asked if they could send me text in a few minutes to ensure I had everything I needed and that the room met my expectation. YES!

I got to my room and it was sparkling clean and comfortable-sheik. Comfy king bed, small fridge, nice sized bath with sliding door, small round table with 2 chairs where I could prepare my meeting notes, and nice size bathroom with plenty of counter space. I even had a great view of the Charles River!

I ordered dinner from Casa Cana located downstairs and it was delicious! The next morning - great breakfast!

I wish I could have stayed longer but I will definitely stay here on my next business trip! Great job!

We spent 4 nights at the hotel this summer and found our overall experience very pleasant.

The hotel had ample parking which was extremely useful.

Check in was easy and very quick. Our room was perfect as well! Adequately sized, well furnished and nice and clean! The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. The only complaint we would have is about the housekeeping which only comes around early in the morning. We had days when our room was not cleaned at all. The bedding was also not changed during these four nights which was not too big of a deal but would have been nice.

We were given a 'family room' with a door separating us and the guests next door. The walls/door was extremely thin and we were woken up in the morning by our neighbour's alarm clock which was not too pleasant!

The room it self was very clean, however the floors in the lifts were a touch dirty as well as the corridors.

The breakfast included was not great but the fresh fruit, bottled water and a variety of tea offerings made up for it!

The ping pong table in the 'games area' was also great fun!

Overall a really nice experience in Boston.

Due to these unprecedented times, we have adjusted our housekeeping procedures slightly keeping in mind our housekeepers and our guests health and safety during their stay. We are hoping to be back to normal practices once we reach our "new normal" very soon! We are thrilled that you enjoyed some of our breakfast offerings! We get all of our pastries from a local bakery fresh each morning and have heard nothing but great things about those! The Tazo Tea we offer is top notch too! Beware: The hotel is not in downtown and you will need a car or Uber/Lyft to downtown (approx. $25 to $35 one way during peak hours). The nearest T station is in Harvard Square which is about 28 mins. walk. Parking is free which is rare among Boston hotels. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Free on the go type morning breakfast items and juices/coffee/tea There is a strip mall behind the hotel where you’ll find McDonalds, a grocery, and a Shabu Shabu Chinese restaurant that I highly recommend. Charles River is across the hotel. The location is in a main road that is somewhat industrial and lined with offices, warehouses, and other commercial buildings. Don’t expect picturesque views. The hotel room is standard at best. Don’t expect luxury. But may I remind you that you are not paying luxury prices.

Dear NewYorkWorldExplorer, Thank you for your recent stay and for sharing your feedback. We’re delighted to read that you loved our fabulous service team and unique hotel product. We have consistently rated 5 Stars on Trip Advisor because of the tremendous value Studio Allston offers guests against the “Big Box” hotels. All guest rooms are meticulously appointed with inspiring unique Art, the latest technologies, cool mini-fridges, and ample space to kick back and enjoy not being at home. The Inclusive Breakfast offers mostly locally sourced and sustainable options like our fresh pastries that are delivered daily from The Danish Pastry House. Although we’re located slightly outside of the frame of Boston’s city center, we’re centrally located in the heart of Allston. Which is Boston’s Hippest Neighborhood and a focal point for Art, History, Music, Fashion, and outstanding dining. Rideshare, casual stroll, or an eBike to the T station, is our recommended option for some who prefer not taking on a premium for day parking. We regret that you didn’t have a chance to discover our hotel dining outlet, Casa Cana, a Taqueria, and Tequila Lounge. It’s a truly amazing beverage and food experience that also offers an intimate outdoor patio lounge with music, activations, and it’s a great place for private events. We are just moments away from Harvard Business School, adjacent to the Harvard stadium, along the Charles River, and directly across Herter Park and Amphitheater. All picture perfect for and peaceful stroll, discovering nice running and biking routes or casting off on your shell for a world-renowned rowing experience. Again thank you so much for your remarks. We sincerely hope that you’ll give us the opportunity to serve you. We’re sure, that if given the opportunity we can gain those 2 missing stars on this review. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly when making your future travel plans. Warm Regards, Arnaldo Almonte General Manager aralmonte@hotelstudioallston.com 617.202.3343

We booked a one-night stay before moving our daughter into college. The hotel location was close and convenient to the college and highway. There were a few eateries within walking distance and other options a short drive away. Unfortunately, the restaurant on the hotel property was closed the night we stayed, but it looks like it would have been a good option. Parking was free and available under the hotel as well as in the front and along the side. We were given a very warm welcome upon check-in, and that was followed shortly with a friendly follow-up text message. The hotel common areas and our room were very clean and in good working order. The décor was more art deco than traditional hotel, giving it a more modern vibe. In addition to the lemon water available 24/7 in the lobby, there was a pretty fabulous selection of muffins, pastries, and savory breakfast options plus yogurt, oatmeal, and fruit plus tea and coffee. While many hotels were limiting or completely omitting their breakfast during the pandemic, Studio Allston really stepped up its breakfast offerings.

While there were many positive and unique attributes of this hotel, there were a few key areas that contributed to our not returning here. First, the hotel allows dogs, and the one staying near our room seemed to always be barking. Second, the walls are pretty thin, and we could hear the occupants in the neighboring room late into the night. The AC was loud, and I think we could get used to it if the fan could stay on more consistently. But with it shutting off and on along with the loud neighbors and dog, we pretty much didn’t sleep. There are also no coffee makers in the room and no coffee available in the lobby. If you want coffee, you have to wait until the breakfast hours or get in your car to find something nearby. Lastly, the door on the bathroom is one of those sliding barn doors. It’s a very cool look and design style, but it is an issue for privacy.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, shrimpmom1313! We love hearing from our guests about their stay with us so we can continue improving our service and product to ensure the next time they are back its better than their previous stay. We take pride in our breakfast selection being local and full of options in order for us to allow all of our guests the opportunity to start their day off right as breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Studio Allston strives to curate unique experiences for all of our guests, four legged and furry ones included! Although we have a strict pet policy, sometimes there are some barkers. The AC fan kicking on and off is a super fixable issue and next time you're back that is not something you will need to worry about! Same goes for coffee! Although there is not coffee makers in the rooms, we have coffee available 24/7 in our lobby! We look forward to WOWing and welcoming you back again soon when your travels bring you back to Boston! If you’re looking for a place to stay for Head of the Charles weekend, Studio Allston is it. The hotel is directly across the street from the finish line and boat launch area. The walk to Harvard Square is 20-30 minutes. Our room was clean and quiet and the bed was quite comfortable. Despite being busy with a full hotel, service from the front desk and housekeeping was incredibly fast for requests like extra towels, shampoo, microwave for the room, etc. The restaurant was good and had nice outdoor seating. Would stay here again.

This hotel is a wonderful little gem, especially for people who don't want to stay in a huge hotel in the heart of the city. The location is perfect - it's close to the "main drag" with shops and restaurants of all types, and directly across from a wonderful park right on the river, with walking/biking paths and a cool childrens' park. We've stayed there a number of times, and the staff greets us like old friends they are happy to see. The rooms are always immaculate, parking is free and plentiful, and the staff bends over backwards to make sure their guests have everything they need. They were lacking a restaurant when the one they had on site closed, but I hear that a new one is coming very soon, so we are looking forward to trying that out when it opens. We won't stay anyplace else when we visit Boston!
