We stayed at this Double Tree for a few nights while we visited Boston. What a nice hotel this is! The Double Tree brand usually doesn't disappoint -- and this one was no exception. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and nicely appointed. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a night as we were in town to see a show at the Wilbur Theatre. Hotel staff was very nice at the desk upon check in. Our Hotel room had one King Bed, desk and small couch, it was very clean and modern. Only amenity that I would of liked to...

We stayed in this hotel for four nights at the end of a New England road trip. We found the staff very welcoming, and particularly enjoyed the complimentary doubletree cookie. We didn't use many of the other hotel services but did stop by the bar one evening to take a soft drink to our room and the bartender was lovely....

This hotel was the perfect choice for my family of 5. Led by Touriya at the front desk, the entire staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful. Touriya went out of her way to learn our names and to greet us warmly whenever we passed by. The rooms are spacious, bright and comfortable. We stayed in a suite where we had...

OK, firstly let me dispel a couple of falsities. 1) The hotel is not as far from Quincy Market as some have mentioned here. For all but the most infirm, it's a ten, fifteen minute walk MAX! Should you not fancy a stroll up Washington street (which is great for shopping), then Tufts medical centre T stop is right on...

This is our third stay at this hotel. The location is great for touring Boston or for as we did on this trip, visiting colleges. The rooms are plenty big enough for a family of 4. The breakfast buffet and omelet station give you a great start to the day. We just love to see Vaughn, the omelet chef there...

A cosy hotel and friendly staff. A great place to rest after a busy day. The lobby and bar , a place you can chill and relax. The place is accessible to transpo and a big hospital. Boston common and public garden are just a few block away where you can enjoy your morning jog.

I was looking for a hotel close to Boston Common and the Freedom Trail. This hotel was near Chinatown and fit the bill. Centrally located in the downtown area. Walking distance to the Freedom Trail and Boston Commons just a few blocks away. Parking is very expensive downtown and the hotel charged $49.00/day. The restaurant in the hotel was nice...

We stayed for 10 nights and with the exception of a TV service that was a bit hit-and-miss it was good stay. The staff were quite helpful, one on the front desk particularly so when we lost our camera on the transport system: she went out of her way to help us.

First impressions on this hotel were good and they only got better. Friendly efficient staff the room was spacious and the little touches of water and cookies when we checked in were most welcome. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room too. The hotel is on the edge of Chinatown so good area for food, the hotel food was...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
