We recently held a party for family & friends at the bar & restaurant the night before our daughter’s wedding. The ambiance was lovely, the staff beyond excellent & the food was amazing. We worked long distance with Darren leading up to the event and he made the entire evening feel effortless for us. Darren was so accommodating to all our requests & was on site the entire evening making sure everything ran smoothly. Our guests raved the entire wedding weekend about the location, the efficiency of the servers, the food , the welcoming feeling when they walked in to the event. We can’t say enough good things about the evening. Thank you to all of you at the Beacon Hill hotel!

can't beat the location, room #30 was small but appointed perfectly, we slept in like never before as room was quiet and bedding was delicious. loved the grown alchemist toiletries. unusual "lobby" is a bar and bistro, bustling in the evenings. view from room is charming, vine covered windows. bathroom sink was exceptionally small. deluca's market next door allows for bringing home a snack or champagne, a deli sandwich. hotel website doesn't offer parking guidance so i will share here - park in boston commons garage (literally below the commons), a quick walk to and from the hotel. reasonably priced -- we paid 18. for 24 hours.

The Beacon Hill Hotel was absolutely delightful. The people we met, including Austin, were terrific and helpful. We stayed in their penthouse suite which was lovely. The bed is very comfortable and the room had ample room for us to work and relax. It was sparkling clean! The bathroom was perfect and had a great shower (including a shower bench) and a towel warmer. We also ate dinner in the restaurant. They accommodated a vegetarian in our party with an off menu item. The restaurant had delicious food and was quiet! We could talk. The European style breakfast was very good, with perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. I wish there had been full sized pastries (they had very good mini ones) and maybe some plain yogurt to eat with the delicious provided fruit. The neighborhood is also wonderful, with great shops and places to eat.

The hotel is in a great location but it feels more like a ‘bartel’ - a bar/restaurant with a few rooms upstairs. The entry is pretty much via the bar which can get very busy and isn’t everyone’s idea of a hotel reception. The room I had was clean , comfortable but very very small. The bed was so tight to the wall it barely allowed me to move around the room. The photographs seem to use a wide angle lens!
I asked for a bigger room the reception said they would arrange that then promptly forgot to do that. One day they also forgot room service. There was a computer problem checking out with the online booking which took about two weeks to resolve meaning I had two full payments pending.
The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but I’m not sure they had much experience. Other than the location there is much to be improved.

My friend and I visited the restaurant and had appetizers and martinis at the bar. Both were somewhat disappointing. The calamari were mediocre and the martinis were very small. When we got the bill we found they had charged us $16 each for the martinis. A plain Beefeater martini - nothing fancy! Won’t be back there again anytime soon.

My husband and I went for Sunday brunch, the food was delicious! We ordered the shakshukha, the Beacon hill breakfast (with scramble eggs) and profiterole for dessert (the best!) . Our server was Pablo, he was very friendly and we had a great experience!

The Beacon Hill Hotel was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the coffee and pastries in the morning. Austin was accommodating and helpful. The restaurant was also fabulous for dinner. The linguine pasta was delicious and the salad was fresh.

This hotel is absolutely lovely and cozy and everyone there is so friendly, especially Austin who was delightful! Rooms are small but sweet, quiet, and very comfortable. In the best, most quaint area of Boston. The bar was bustling and fun and the design of the whole hotel reminds me of a more humble Kit Kemp hotel. Highly recommend!

Staying at the Beacon Hill Hotel was worth every penny. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and most importantly, friendliness of the staff were above and beyond anything we ever expected. We loved going back to the bar at night and hanging out and talking with the bartenders and other staff, it felt like a home away from home, all tucked away in the precious Beacon Hill. Can’t wait to go back!

Restaurant and bar are the perfect chill place in this busy area. Johnny and the bar staff are friendly, interested in you and on top of everything. The farro salad is one of the best salads I have ever had and the selection at the bar is outstanding!
