My boyfriend and I wanted us to spend a special "early" Valentine's Day together, so we chose this nice-looking boutique hotel. It has a great location, very close to a lot of the more touristy things to do in Boston, and some of the rooms have a great view of the Commons. However, we asked the front desk for a... More

Boston is a very walkable city and location is everything. Nine Zero is located on the Freedom Trail (actually at the beginning), a couple of blocks from Boston Common and within a few blocks of the Government Center subway station which is only 4 stops from the airport. Like all Kimpton hotels, Nine Zero is a boutique hotel with a... More

My husband and I loved our stay at the hotel. Friendly and efficient welcome, lovely wine hour, and smart, contemporary lobby and room design all contributed to a relaxing and fun overnight. Would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Boston.

Overall a fantastic hotel. The staff on the front desk were more than willing to assist with anything (particularly Thomas and Antony-customer service second to none!!) which just added to the charm of this hotel. The rooms were great too-clean and well maintained. The bed was the comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in! Our only comment would be the... More

I just spent a night at the Nine Zero Hotel in Boston with my wife. We had a very nice time. We had a corner room on the 11th floor which had terrific views over the Common and Back Bay. This "boutique" hotel is one of several quality Boston hotels we have stayed at recently. Located on the "Freedom Trail", and only a few hundred yards from Boston commons, the Nine-Zero is in a great location. It is dfferentiated from the larger hotel chains with its stylish lobby decor, evening wine happy hour, and overtly pet friendly policy. There is... More

Comfortable room. Great shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. However it is the little extras that make this a fabulous hotel. The dinner & breakfast places they recommended were exactly what we wanted/ needed! This is an incredible botique hotel in downtown near the Boston Commons. The rooms are great as well as the service. You get a feeling of luxury and also a casual feeling. Walking distance to good restaurants as well as historical sites. Very kid friendly.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
