Excellent overall room and service. Loved the convenience and outstanding meals at the Eastern Standard and the Hawthorne. We have stayed at the hotel several times and our expectations are always exceeded.

Our youngest child graduated from Boston University this past weekend, which is great. We are a little sad, though, because it means we no longer have reason for frequent visits to this hotel. The service, from the valet car parkers, the front desk staff to the housekeepers, and the excellent food available at the Eastern Standard restaurant in the hotel...

We were in Boston to attend a Berklee College of Music graduation that was held at Boston University's Agganis Arena. After we checked into the hotel, we had a number of special requests and all the staff members we encountered were friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The Kenmore "T" station (subway) is located in...

I stayed here on a recent trip to Cambridge for business. The rooms are modern which is nice. The showers are awesome. The hotel has nice historical photos and nods to Boston sports history. The restaurants are really good for a meal close by. A bit pricey but definitely recommended.

I stayed at the Commonwealth for 2 nights for business travel. My room was very nice and clean. Some of the rooms and elevators had a baseball theme which was cool. Just a couple buildings down the street are a couple coffee shops and fast food options, and it was walking distance to the freedom trail and duk boat tours....

I managed to get a good package rate with Flight on Expedia - that was nice. The hotel itself has been modernized as far as the reception, and some of the room decor, but clearly the bathrooms though clean date back to the 80's or 90's. Fine but nothing inspiring. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A thoughtful reimagining of what a Boston hotel can be, Hotel Commonwealth unhinges luxury from its traditional definition to bring guests urban vibrance and the ultimate in unscripted hospitality, right in Kenmore Square. That our stylish spot flanks Boston's beloved Fenway Park shines bright on its list of perks, as does being in easy embrace of the city's prominent academic, medical, technology areas. Newly conceived interiors remain faithful to the hotel's legendary welcoming feel, blending effortless style with considered comforts to create a relaxed urban destination. The result?
