The Loews Boston is one of those hôtels that is medium in size, old-fashion cozy comfort, very pleasant staff, good value and in a great location. Reserved three nights but had to cancel last night due to incoming snow storm and was NOT charged which was very appreciated.

The Loews Boston Hotel is a great, upscale place to stay while visiting a great city! The rooms were well equipped. I especially loved the towel warmer in the bathroom since we were there in early February. The downstairs bar is a destination for a happy hour drink. Breakfast was delicious. And, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. We...

We really enjoyed our stay at Loews Boston Hotel. The hotel staff were beyond accommodating, the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The Precinct has a nice selection of wine and the food was quite good. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others!

Amazing Hotel, Stunning Room, BUT....$50 for PARKING! That was 1/3 of my room costs...wow, just WOW! For that reason alone, I will NEVER come back...sorry. Aside from the horrible parking, the hotel and staff were LOVELY!

Hello jakeh0605 and thank you very much for the post. While we appreciate the very kind comments about your experience, we are disappointed that our valet parking pricing had such a negative impact on your stay and will discourage your from staying with us in the future. While our pricing is very competitive with hotels in our neighborhood that rely...

We stayed here over our birthdays in July 2016, our second visit after staying in 2014. Our travel agent had booked us a twin room instead of a double but the desk staff were very helpful in finding us a double room. Room was spacious and comfy, location is great within walking distance to the shopping centre and common. Loved...

Nothing makes us happier, Em_Anne_H, to read that we earned your loyalty! We do not take your travel decisions lightly and greatly appreciate the recommendation. We do have a very central location for visiting all of Boston and the complimentary coffee/cappuccino/espresso/latte/hot chocolate machine is a great amenity that we are pleased to offer to our guests 24 hours per day....

Friendly and helpful staff from the doorman to the front desk. Comfortable Lobby and nice but average size rooms. Because it's a former police station and where it is one looks into buildings. Our friends checked in late and got the inside room looking at the alley. They were not happy. Convenient location. Nice to have in and out parking....

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort. And our recently updated 1,024-square-foot Harrison Room-with its vaulted, 20-foot cathedral ceilings and crystal chandelier-is an unparalleled event space and the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. ... more   less
