Family holiday to Boston was excellent. The Loews Hotel was comfortable, well positioned and staff were excellent. The hotel is an old Boston Police Station very close to Boston Back Bay Train station and the Boston Metro. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I would not hesitate to return.

The room though small was very neat and clean! An additional windows would have made it even better ! The property is well managed and has all the facilities required for a good stay ! Shopping and museums are within walking distance !

This place is very centrally located and gives some of the best service in this industry. Room service was outstanding and the breakfast in the restaurant was really really good also. Concierge pulled some strings to get us in a great place for dinner also

I really wanted to like Loews, and I also did in some ways, but there were just a couple of things that really bothered me. My husband was attending a conference in Boston, and we stayed at the hotel for 6 days. We booked directly with the hotel as we had a few requests. We requested a crib and a...

We had a very nice experience while staying at Loews Boston. The room was extremely comfortable as well as quiet for being in a central downtown Boston location. The staff was extremely efficient, and polite.

Lovely hotel with great atmosphere, right in the heart of everything and walking distance from all major attractions, and yet far enough out to feel quiet and relaxed. The cellar bar downstairs has a great atmosphere and well worth an evening visit. the breakfast wasn't included and i thought at $57 for breakfast for 2 was a bit heavy. To...

Our flight was delayed so we checked in later in the day and they placed us in room 314. This is at the back of the property and in the alleyway there is a nightclub with a licence until 2am, which plays VERY loud music. They are fully aware of this and when I went downstairs to reception, they apologised...

Checked in early and had another superb stay at the Loew's Hotel. Our hotel of choice in Boston. Location, service, comfort, pampered! Room was A+. Forgot my shave cream and they had some! It's the little things that make this hotel stand out.

Stayed 2 nights in Boston for hubby's 50th. Went to see the Yankees play RedSox (Theee Yankees Win). 1st time in Fenway. Great experience. Stayed at the LOWES, did lots of sightseeing, and ate at Smith and Wollensky. Great 3 days spent.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It's not often that a hotel embodies all that a city stands for, but the Loews Boston is just that place. Housed in the stately limestone building that was once home to the Boston Police Headquarters, our recently renovated boutique property is-like the city of Boston itself-a unique and unforgettable blend of historic charm, urbane sophistication and authentic New England hospitality. Our exclusive Back Bay location, which is ideally situated between three of Boston's hottest neighborhoods-the South End, the Theater District and the Back Bay-puts you in the heart of all that Boston has to offer, with everything you want to see or experience, including the shopping on Newbury Street, just moments away. If you are in town for an event at one of Boston's many colleges and universities, we offer effortless access to the campuses of Boston University, Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern, Emerson and Tufts Medical School, to name just a few. Our 225 spacious guestrooms, two luxury suites and an expansive Presidential Suite have been freshly renovated and bring you the ultimate in modern convenience and comfort. And our recently updated 1,024-square-foot Harrison Room-with its vaulted, 20-foot cathedral ceilings and crystal chandelier-is an unparalleled event space and the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. ... more   less
