What a great anniversary weekend my husband and I enjoyed at the InterContinental! The hotel is beautiful to say the least, but the staff surpassed the beauty! Every staff member we encountered treated us like family, and especially wonderful was Brittney, at the concierge desk. We asked her for restaurant suggestions in the city and were immediately put on her...

This hotel is easily accessible on Boston's waterfront, walkable to every major attraction in Boston. The lobby has an amazing rum bar and views of the harbor, and just outside the doors is an outdoor bar/restaurant. Hope you get Johann and Jacklyn, they're THE BEST bartenders!! This is THE place to stay if you're in Boston on Business by far!

Had a great trip to Boston for the weekend. We had been switched to a double bed room instead of the king originally reserved. I did ask several questions at checkin to see if there was any way to get moved to a king either with an upgrade, or coming to check in later. Not until I responded to a...

We booked a room here months ago for our July 4 trip to Boston and were charged for our first night's stay as a deposit, which is customary. When I checked the rates last night, they are $100/night cheaper for next week. I called the hotel to see if they would honor the current rate on their website, they said...

Great location. Nice property. What makes this hotel is the friendly, eager to please staff. Only ding for this hotel is the breakfast which is ridiculously overpriced, even for Boston. Waite staff were nowhere to be found for the first five minutes we were seated. Wife's order was wrong and mine was incomplete. We were on a time crunch which...

Enjoyed a quick trip with family and stayed at the InterContinenal. We loved the location as it was right on the water and you could walk to the Boston Children's museum (our 10 year old was not impressed, the museum is targeted for young kids), Boston Tea Party museum with the reproduction boat and short cab ride to many of...

Very nice and elegant. Convenient location on water near tourist spots. Had breakfast at the main level restaurant. Great service. Seems like a popular place for the locals after work near the water. Didn't try room service. Rooms are quiet. Didn't hear anything. Internet is extra however it works well. Bed was great with good pillows.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
