This might be one of the coolest hotels ever. The vibe is so hip and rock ‘n’ roll. I love that the pool is open year round. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! this is an up-and-coming area very close to downtown Boston. There are a lot of new restaurants and cafés nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable and feature some lovely retro touches like a record player and vinyl albums. There were lots more vinyl records to choose from in the lobby.
First a little context: we have been fairly locked down during the pandemic, wading our way gently back into society over the last year, fully vaxxed yet super wary, and thus riding each variant wave in waste-high water. Coming East for three weeks was a cannonball splash into the deep end, if we are to continue with this swimming pool metaphor LOL, and thus, The Verb Hotel became our proverbial life raft for a few nights, while we visited friends, family and co-workers in Boston. It was our respite in the evenings, after a full day of sun, city dirt and noise— a quiet place with records to spin and ambient lighting to soothe, accompanied by soft sheets and a firm mattress, cleaned with care and attention by Leticia. It was our cocoon in which we awoke each morning, coffee at the ready and a delicious meal down the hall, expertly served with warm smiles by duo Yoselin and Yaritza, which we then enjoyed on the open patio beside the (literal) pool, where I had swam laps the night before at sunset. There was nothing in particular that made us feel extra safe, in terms of COVID protocols; we were among the few masking, for example. But we had plenty of space to ourselves with ample outdoor options and in short, we loved our time here and we felt loved in return. It will always remain a lovely bright spot in our memories from what was overall a whirlwind trip filled with highs and lows. Back in my home sweet home, I am still thinking fondly of our time there and hoping to visit again one day!…
We attended an event at the MGM Music Hall for 4 days & wanted a place that was close by; with The Verb being just a 5 minute walk & being able to have a few of Fenway Park from our room it was an easy hotel choice for 2 Red Sox fans. It was also only a 10-12 minute walk from the T station for Fenway so getting from/to the airport & other parts of the city was a breeze. The staff was great, super friendly every time we came down through the lobby! They had hot and cold nitro coffee in the lobby at all times, which was great for a quick me up. As well as a mini fridge with water in the lobby that you could grab as needed (two bottles were already in our room, but with being there for a week this was a lifesaver at times). The breakfast had a good variety - waffles, croissants, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, smoothies; even had some vegan options if needed. It's not a self service breakfast, but is all you you can eat; it's similar to counter service with a few hotel workers that you let them know what you want and they'll make/grab the food for you. The breakfast is held in a restaurant that's attached to the hotel, which we ate at twice (great ramen) & was really convenient on a 5 degree night that we didn't want to walk to get dinner (plus you get a discount for being a hotel guest). Room was nice, furniture was made to seem more retro. The record player is a fun touch to have something different then just a tv in the room. The walls are a bit thin; we could hear the people next to us multiple times & a dog barking in the room across the hotel - but they do have quiet hours posted in the lobby so wasn't a problem at night. Only two things we'd change was 1) that some of the outlets in our room didn't work & only one side of the bed had outlets; but there were plenty through out the whole room so it wasn't a big deal. 2) The door to bathroom was a sliding barn door style that left a little gap even when closed, so not 100% privacy when in the bathroom. Overall we really enjoyed our stay & will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Boston for a Red Sox game! …
Fun hotel brings back memories loved all the themes and record players in all the rooms was amazing we definitely played our share of records don’t sleep on this place walking distance to Fenway and a lot of shops and great food places A+ for me
Thank you Amalia V. for the friendly service and for making my waffles at The Verb hotel. Sharing all the selections made it easy. Your approachable smile early in the morning and courtesy were appreciated. Thank you!
My experience at The Verb was great! Got a Zeppelin room which was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean and cozy. Hotel staff was extremely nice. They always had a smile on and were super helpful. I will definitely be back the next time I plan a trip to Boston!
Really fun and comfortable hotel! Amalia and Crisela were so nice and helpful at breakfast and everyone at the front desk was great. Comfortable bed and loved the record player in the room. Decor is retro in a good way.
The Verb Hotel in Boston provides an amazing, one-of-a-kine hotel experience. Every room has it's own turn table and Marshall bluetooth capable speaker and an impressive assortment of vinyl records from all genres for guests listening pleasures. The Verb Hotel also has themed music artist rooms (available by request) with vinyl records from that specific artist as well as an area called the "backstage" which offers private, luxurious, custom designed stationary camper travel trailers. Room service employees have the freedom to randomly mix and match vinyl records. The Verb Hotel also has a guitar and amplifiers in the hotel lobby for guests to play at will whenever they want to. I would recommend the Verb Hotel to anyone coming to Boston wanting a truly unique, joyful, pleasing and memorable experience!! I give the Verb Hotel 5 stars. (I added no photos as there are literally thousands of fantastic photos of the Verb Hotel on the internet far better then what I can take) …
We stayed for a night at the Verb and what a fantastic experience. Friendly staff, clean rooms, very cool vibe. Yoselin was fantastic, she is the breakfast attendant and was great. Excited to come back.
We had the absolute best time at The Verb and were so impressed by all the staff - so warm, and above and beyond accommodating and helpful. The front desk staff were the best, as was Ryan at valet who was soo calm and friendly after our stressful drive in. The decor is gorgeous as is the music focused atmosphere. We loved the record player in the room and being able to pick records from the library to play. Kids loved the typewriter and phone and pretty much everything else too. Attached restaurant was wonderful for dinner and easy to access from hotel. Breakfast was delicious - we all had waffles with various toppings, coffee in the lobby was divine. 💯 recommend a stay here and will be back soon.
