This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.

I am curious about parking options. If self parking is available, what is the rate? Is there in/out privileges?
We used the valet, so easy. There is an underground parking garage in between 2 major hotels. Not sure if it’s public parking. We wanted to walk around the waterfront. We didn’t need our vehicle until it was time to travel. Had we wanted to travel beyond our walking range, we’d just grab an Uber.

They do not. There is a downtown hotel shuttle service that is not hotel specific. We used Uber and it was about $20

Catch the Silver Line Bus for $2.25 at the Silver Line Way or World Trade Center stops. Stops are one block away and it runs often to the airport. Free trip from the airport if you want to use it just outside baggage claim. Great system -- get a Charlie card (Bus Payment) at a kiosk near baggage claim.
