Ifound Gryphon House by chance. And what a find. This was a great place to stay .2 minutes to the T at Kenmore or if you were feeling fit a 20 minute walk up Beacon Street to Boston Common.Gryphon House has a great feel about it.We stayed in Aeri and not only was it massive but felt very much like...

My husband, my son (14 year old) and I stayed here for 2 nights Aug. 10-12. I had lived in Medford, a suburb of Boston, for a year when I was a student, and it was the first time in 20 years that I visited Boston! I chose this place after many hours of reading TA, due to the following...

Thank you! It was a pleasure to have you & your family stay with us during your return to Boston! I apologize again for the wifi connection--still not sure what the problem was, but we rechecked our routers and all seems to be in order now. The suggestion regarding the name tags is a good one and I will try...

Recommended to this brownstone bed and breakfast by a work colleague we weren't disappointed. The owner and her staff were friendly and attentive, the public rooms were beautifully furnished and presented - the wall paper is 100 years old and of museum quality! A huge range of DVDs and books was a bonus. No lift to our third floor bedroom,...

Thanks! It was a lot of fun chatting with you, and, of course I love it when guests are interested in the history and design of the house! We feel very lucky to be able to share this amazing place with people who appreciate the style and ambience of a bye-gone era. Thanks again for staying with us!

We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Gryphon. As an Innkeeper from the West Coast, I was excited to stay at an Inn and be treated as a guest! The Gryphon did not dissapoint and Theresa and her staff were lovely. We stayed in the Aerie, which is on the 4th floor (a good little workout if...

Again, a stay like this reminds me why I don't need to stay at typical hotels. The location of the Gryphon House was great - was able to walk to some cool areas. It's basically on campus at Boston University. I had the Morningside Room, which was huge and immaculate. I couldn't stay for breakfast, so Tara prepared some food...

We spent three nights here as our base for touring Revolutionary War sites in and around Boston. It was also our fifteen wedding anniversary so we were looking for more romantic accomodations that fit our tour theme. Gryphon House was excellent on both counts! The Inn has been meticulously restored to it's original glamoure with beautiful hardwood floors, tile, furnishings,...

Beautiful old house right off Kenmore Square! My husband and I recently spent 3 nights in the Victoria room. Loved it! Spotless and very comfortable. Continental breakfast was plentiful and the location was perfect. We loved having a little kitchen available and the extra space to relax in the room. All in all, a wonderful place to stay in Boston.

This place was great!!! But I'm hesitant to write a great review because I'd really like to keep this place a secret!! We stayed in the Sanctuary and it was splendid. Although the room had a full kitchen and a wood burner, we did not use either. The room and bath were super clean. Breakfast was just what we wanted...

Wow! We stayed in the Sanctuary suite in the basement, it was very comfortable and clean. Great beds, lovely bathroom and a fully functioning kitchen with wood burner (though it was very hot during our stay so we didn't use it). Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
