I stayed at The Chandler Inn (Boston) Dec.14 2011. It was exactly what I wanted. I was hoping to experience an (all too brief) immersion of Boston Culture. Gretchen was helpful with pre-trip info regarding public transportation, sightseeing etc. Glenn was the over the top great, educating me and sharing wonderful stories and history (some off beat) about the Boston...

Professional photos are accurate, tho' they make the room seem larger than it was. My husband and I stayed one night for pre-Christmas as we wanted to be in the South End. Recommendations about choosing a corner room in upper stories is a good one. We were on the 7th floor and the traffic noise was not an issue. The...

I stopped at the Chandler Inn twice: once on my way to my vacation in Europe and the other on the way back. It's a great location, nicely decorated rooms and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there agin next time in Boston.

The Chandler Inn Hotel was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. The staff was so nice and very helpful. The room was beautiful... Very modern, no frilly flowered pillow shams or ugly wall hangings. The bed was super comfy, the best sleep I've had in a long time. The bathroom, while tiny, was very clean and I love...

Set in a great Boston neighborhood, The Chandler Inn was a nice alternative to other, pricier options. We were only staying for a night, but I researched our options heavily before booking as I am very picky about where I will lay my head at night, and we were on a budget. What we found was a warm, welcoming, CLEAN,...

I went to Boston for a medical conference in Back Bay, at the Copley Place, and needed a well located place, with good prices and free internet, if possible. The Chandler had everything I was looking for, I payed 99 dolars a day (winter special price), which, even though is not that cheap, for the Boston average, specially in Back...

I stayed at the Chandler Inn for a Saturday night. All considered I was somewhat disappointed. While some of the disappointment might be attributed to bad luck, enough of my less than ideal experiences here were due to poor decisions by hotel staff to warrant this writing. First off, I arrived at the hotel at about 7pm. I communicated my...

I stayed at the Chandler Inn in October 2011. Boston is an expensive city to find accomodation in and I think you will be hard pressed to find anything like the vallue for money the Chanlder Inn offers in terms of location, neighbourhood and room appearence. The staff were all very friendly and I was very glad I chose to...

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
