This is a grand old hotel in the heart of Boston. Clearly lots of history here. The rooms are very small, as are the beds and many rooms have no view. The restaurant is very nice, if a bit over priced for breakfast. Really enjoyed the location and the easy access to many of the attractions.

Due to a business trip, I got a group price and checked in the Omni Parker House. The location is perfect, downtown Boston, close to a few T(the subway) stations, and walkable to the Boston Common Visit Center park, right on the Freedom Trail, adjacent to the old city hall, etc. it is quite convenient for first time Boston visitors,...

Convenient location on the Freedom Trial and excellent value for room rate. Rooms were a bit small as expected for a historical hotel. Lobby area is very lavish and beautiful. Hotel was clean. Staff is very helpful. Only issue was upon arriving - driving - it was difficult to find space in the unloading area and the traffic was heavy...

We loved our 2 nights at the historic Omni Parker and thought the decor was beautiful old world and appropriate. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the bathroom had lots of grab rails (excellent if you are unsteady). We had a beautifully cooked classic dinner in the Parker Room Restaurant and thought the buffet...

My wife and I spent seven nights in a "Deluxe" room. Overall, we were very pleased with the historic Parker House. It's location was right on the Freedom Trail, a few blocks from several historical attractions, Boston Common, many coffee shops, pubs, etc. About a 15 minute walk to North End and Little Italy. The staff could not have been...

Everyone working here was a joy to be a guest there. We arrived around 7PM but went to our room & was accommodated with a small refrigerator for medecine at no additional charge. We had a lovely view of the street below. that evening we went to the bar on the 1st floor & had a light something to eat....

The rate was too expensive for the room they provided. The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in during all my years of travel. The bathroom was so small you were under the sink while using the water closet. Positive note. Staff was great, helpful and very friendly.

Boston is very much in demand at this time of your so prices across the city will be high. Thanks for the feedback and we hope you'll choose to return.

I've been going to the Parker House periodically for several years and, although it's an old (historical) and somewhat futzy hotel, the staff are friendly, the hotel is clean, it's in an excellent central location, and the price is reasonable. Basically it does what a hotel is supposed to. This is an easy thumbs-up and I'll be going back.

We enjoyed an excellent stay at a charming old school hotel. The staff waited on us hand and foot treating us like we were the only guests. For those with children, I highly recommend the "Freedom Trail Family Suite" and if you're doing breakfast with them, see if you can get Tony in the restaurant to show you some of...

Great location, great old hotel vibe. Rooms are small but that is to be expected and I was able to enjoy a single room with a roll-away bed and still not feel too cramped. Room amenities were good. No complaints here. Don't forget to try the Boston cream pie - this is the "original!"

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
