The lobby, bar and restaurant are a testament to what this hotel once was. Room was clean and large, but somewhat dark and dingy. Everything seemed like it needed a facelift. Staff were friendly and helpful.Location was great.

I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel. We came for a family visit to Boston this past Spring Break. It was my birthday and they knew we were arriving late. The hotel left us delicious snacks including cookies and milk for the kids. They left a bday card for me which 10 hotel staff members signed! They accommodated our...

Beautiful lobby of this hotel. I was given a room on the third floor with a small window and paper-thin walls. Looks like the room was created by making three small rooms from one big one. The hotel may have increased guest space, but missed the mark on guest comfort. Hopefully the rooms on the higher floors are nicer. Remember...

I was there for the State House Time Capsule Ceremony, it was a special event that I was a part of. I choose the Omni Parker House because of the value, the reputation and the location to the Massachusetts State House. The hotel is on the Freedom Trail and right in the center of the best Boston has to offer....

This is a landmark, of course. The lobby is gorgeous. It's almost like you've stepped back in time. I loved my cozy room, and it sure was cozy. I had a great view, but many rooms look into alleys and such. Not so pleasant. It's a little worn around the edges, but that's fine. I really really love Omnis -...

Hmm...this is a tough review to write. So It is rich with history, great location and the hotel is clean and well staffed. But my overall opinion is that it was just ok. We arrived for check in at 3pm. The bars/restaurants didn't open until 4 and 5 pm. So we went to a bar near by for a drink....

The Parker House was a lovely choice for a business stay I had. The dark wood in the lobby lends to the old Boston feel and the location placed me at my business meeting and within walking distance of all things Boston: the Common, Fanueil Hall, North End, etc. Note: tiny elevators you WILL get to know people on the...

I've stayed at the Parker House many, many times over the past 20 plus years primarily for business. This time was for family. There is an offensive odor around the lobby that needs to be addressed. The breakfast buffet was sub-par- runny scrambled eggs is just one complaint, the value just isn't there. The small rooms are fine for a...

The location of the Omni Parker house is fantastic if you're looking to tour the Freedom Trail or see the historical sites in Boston. My mom, daughter and I stayed 3 nights in one of the suites. The room was fine but needs renovations and new furniture. The pull-out couch cushions were significantly stained, and the overall appearance of the...

This historic hotel is conveniently located close to pretty much all the major transit lines in Boston, and a lot of the historic sites. I was able to get to the convention centre easily while my spouse was able to see the rest of Boston easily (Freedom Trail, Harvard, Museum of Fine Art, Fenway Park, etc). Since it is an...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
