Lobby spacious but very draughty. A beautiful Christmas tree awaited us. Check in was friendly and efficient. Rooms and corridors were tired. Actually quite disappointed but not enough to complain. Bed was large and comfortable, actual room size was fine, but bathroom was tiny! Smallest bathroom ever and we had upgraded to a delux room. Expected more traditional features which...

Stayed here in June 2015. looking at it, the ambiance is old, the hotel has a classic looks, almost transports you back in time- the old décor, dim lighting, odd smell!! (LOL). the rooms are variable, I got lucky, nice big room, clean, no problems with stay, big bathroom but dated- clean though. The others got a small room and...

Rhis was our second stay at this hotel. Our room was nice if you like historic rooms (remember that they temd to be smaller than newer rooms) and the service as always was great. The door knob came off in our hand while closing the door to the bathroom, but it's an old hotel so things like that can happen....

I booked this hotel through Priceline. It was my first time using Priceline and the hotel far exceeded my expectations! The staff was unbelievably friendly and accommodating. We loved the hotel so much we extended out stay by two days, which wasn't a problem even though we had booked through Priceline. The beds were extremely comfortable and the hotel was...

Caution when using your GPS! We were taken to the wrong side of town with 3 different GPS devices with the hotels address, search for the Omni Parker House to get correct directions. However, once we finally arrived, we were greeted with a very friendly valet service as well as all of the staff inside. Our family came to visit...

We got this room the day of our visit via Priceline. It exceeded our expectation and for half the price. Older hotel but that gives it charm. Great valet parkers. I forgot my tennis shoes in the car. They radioed a driver and had them waiting for me at the front desk. I believe parking was $40. Free wifi in...

Great over sized room for five girls. Friendly staff all around. Perfect location. We will definitely be staying there again. Great quality for the price. I would also be sure to visit the Bean Town Pub right down the street!

Find out about JFK's history with this hotel, the figures from our country's past who have stayed here, and take a tour from the basement up to the topmost facilities. Located right on the Freedom Trail, within walking distance of so many historical sites and the Boston Commons. If you drive, bring your GPS because the one-way streets make arrival...

We stayed here in early June. First trip to Boston for both of us and we loved the hotel! Check in was a breeze. Staff helpful. Loved the history to this hotel. The only downside was that we had no view in our room, but we were not in there much except to sleep. Location was great, too. On the...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
