Four star hotel. Hotel booked months ahead. 'Bookings guaranteed'. I arrived late due to US Customs at Airport only to be told the hotel was overbooked (computer problem) but they had arranged another hotel for me for that night. Back hotel was 3 star Marriott but miles away. Next morning, I had the extra disruption of moving back before attending...

Overall, the stay at the Revere was really nice. They were very accommodating and the staff was friendly. The room was well kept and clean. The only minor issues were: 1. The elevators were hard to use because there were so many people. It took us more than 10 minutes on more than one occasion to get up or down....

Never has the age-old-adage of “Beauty is found within” proven more apt and true than when used to describe the Revere Hotel. A concrete eye-sore since it was first erected, this former site of a Howard Johnson’s has been rehabilitated into a destination for visitors and locals alike, with a boutique-like charm that belies its outer unattractiveness. Entering the circular...

The rooms were not as comfortable as I had hoped. The concierge was overwhelmed trying to help people. She kept turning to other people while in the middle of helping me. I felt that was extremely unprofessional. Check-out needed to be friendlier.

Not a bad experience at all. Checkin/out was very easy and fast. We talked to another guest on the elevator and they said it took them 3 hours?! The room was nice and spacious, good amenities, just not used to having huge bottles of wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion where the staff refills them. They offer pillow service, but we did not use it....

We booked directly with this hotel and the photos on their website are very misleading, as was the address. This hotel is not on Boston Common at all. After a long flight we arrived at the specified check-in time and were told that our rooms were not ready. Somehow the check-in guy managed to sort out this glitch and we...

There were 8 of us and we loved the hotel and its amenities in addition to the location. We were close to the theater district and eating establishments that we desired. The rooftop pool was nice too. We would come back.

Loved the great central location, friendly staff and yummy-smelling lobby. Gorgeous rooms with great city views. Modern and spacious. Loved staying on the 20th floor. In the heart of the Theater District. Nice balconies and well-appointed fitness center. Fabulous Skoah products in the bathrooms.

The room was good, it would have been nice to have a fridge but for the price it was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and room was spacious. Balcony was a great plus. I travel all over the US. This hotel ranks at the bottom. The elevator line was 25 minutes to get to our room at 10 at night. Because of a rooftop bar, the hotel elevators could not handle the crowd. After a 20 minute wait in line for an elevator, the bell man let a group cut the line ahead...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
