So it's very nice. The people are nice. But it's very expensive. I had a great deal so I went for it. The boss and I went to see my beloved Sox. They won. Price was pitching. Beautiful job he did. Anyway it's on the corner of Newbury and Arlington st. We had a park view room overlooking the Public...

Great location. Vintage feel. Classic accommodation. Rooms are understated, smallish. Bathroom is impossibly small for two. The strongest appeal is it's ideal location. It's central to the Freedom Trail, Boston Commons, Faneiul Square and the waterfront.

We stayed for 6 nights in the Taj on honeymoon and I only have good things to say about it. I knew we were going to be in for a treat when we told people we were staying there and they couldn't stop saying good things about it. Unfortunately because of flight trouble we arrived in the Taj around 4am...

Our stay here was lovely! The room was huge, the view was incredible, the minifridge was ice-cold... it was a great experience. I knew I would arrive about 3 hours before the check-in time, but the front desk took note of this in advance, and my room was available for me when I arrived! All of the staff we interacted...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Taj Boston. It's a beautiful property and the staff are welcoming and accomodating. The location is outstanding - fronting Boston Commons and Newbury Street. Constructive criticism: Although I didn't say anything at the time, I was disappointed with the porter at the front door upon arrival. He waited so long to come to...

We enjoyed our stay in Boston. Staying at the Taj on 4th of July weekend meant we were in the heart of activities. however, the hotel was a quiet refuge. It was a great stay. We liked being adjacent to the park and walking distance to Beacon Hill and the T.

The Taj staff made our daughters wedding weekend all the more special. Outstanding caring staff. The location of the hotel is excellent. We enjoyed our suite and the bed was very comfortable. check in and departure went very smoothly. The concierge service was magnificent ... getting people restaurant reservations, car service to a variety of restaurants.

Excellent location on Arlington Street next to the Boston Garden. Unfortunately, was not permitted to check in until 4:30 (was supposed to have the room by 3:00). Maid service knocked on door waking us all up the following morning at 8:30am (check out is 11:00) - have no idea why they showed up.

We were very pleased with our stay in the Taj. There was not one thing that we would change. The employees were neat, helpful, friendly, courteous. The rooms were lovely and well appointed. The hotel is in a great location in Boston allowing walking access to many of the city's attractions. Well done, Taj!

Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Location is ideal in downtown Boston; across from Boston Public Gardens and near many restaurants and transportation. Also taxi service seems to be immediately present whenever you need them. The Taj Hotel is the very best choice you could make.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
